The Catalyst-CEL China-Israel Fund (CCF) has made an investment in Arbe Robotics (Arbe), the provider of next-generation 4D Imaging Radar Chipset Solution that enables high-resolution sensing for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles.
The Fund led Arbe’s USD32 million B-round fundraising, and is joined by Beijing Automotive Investment Capital, MissionBlue Capital, and AI Alliance, along with the Company’s previous shareholders. Current CEO Kobi Marenko founded Arbe in 2016. Its breakthrough radar chipset, 4D Imaging Radar Chipset Solution, generates an image 100 times more detailed than any solution on the market today.
With the new funding, Arbe will focus on
NewHold Enterprises (NewHold), a long-term investment holding company and direct investment platform focused on middle market industrials and services firms, has invested in PRIME AE Group, (PRIME AE). Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
PRIME AE is focused on the architecture and engineering services (AE) industry and represents NewHold’s second platform, following its investment in the non-hazardous liquid waste industry, through American AllWaste LLC in mid-2018.

Private equity firm FFL Partners (FFL) is to sell EyeCare Partners (ECP), a vertically integrated growing network of full scope medical optometry and ophthalmology practices in the US. Financial terms of the private transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2015, ECP provides best-in-class eye care services from an integrated network of over 500 optometrists and 85 ophthalmologists located in 13 states throughout the Midwest, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southwest. Accenture has invested in and formed a strategic alliance with TradeIX, a Dublin-based company whose open platform uses distributed ledger technology to facilitate the flow of goods, services, transactions and information within a secure environment for global trade.
Terms of the equity investment have not been disclosed.
Current trade relies on time-consuming manual transaction processes that can be costly and hard to reconcile. Distributed ledger technology enables new ways to share data and the full automation of finance and accounting processes, increasing productivity and working capital while reducing overall risk for banking parties.

Atrium Sports (Atrium”, a full-service technology platform for sports and video data content, has acquired Synergy Sports Technology (“Synergy Sports”), a global provider of data and video analytics tools for the NBA, the MLB and NCAA Division I-II-III basketball and Division I baseball.
This acquisition will accelerate Atrium’s expansion strategy and strengthen its end-to-end technology solution offering globally.
The acquisition was completed with a lead investment from Eldridge Industries and additional investment from Elysian Park Ventures, Atrium executives and other Atrium and Synergy Sports shareholders.

HR software provider CIPHR has today completed the acquisition of its long-term strategic software and services partner, Payroll Business Solutions (PBS), in a deal that will double the number of customers it can reach through its integrated services.
CIPHR and PBS have worked together for more than 10 years and already have more than 50 joint customers that benefit from integrated HR and payroll systems, including household names such as bed manufacturer Dreams, delivery service CitySprint and property company ZPG. Inflexion-backed Shimtech Industries has acquired Fastener Technology Corporation (FTC), a North Hollywood based supplier of high-strength specialty fasteners for commercial and military aerospace applications.
FTC was founded by Bulent Gulistan in 1979 and has built a strong reputation as an innovative and reliable supplier serving more than 400 customers. Some customer relationships span multiple decades, including those with Lockheed Martin, Click Bond, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, Raytheon, and Wesco. The existing management team, led by President Dennis Suedkamp, will continue to operate and grow the business, now aided by Shimtech’s additional group resources.

Foresight Group (Foresight) has made a GBP2.0 million investment as part of a GBP3.3 million round into award-winning novel thin film ultrasound technology company Novosound Ltd (Novosound).
The Foresight Williams Technology EIS Fund led the round, investing GBP1.5 million alongside GBP500,000 from the Foresight Scottish Growth Fund, financed by the Scottish Growth Scheme through a combination of Scottish Government funds and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), and GBP1.3 million from existing shareholders including Par Equity, Kelvin Capital, Gabriel Investments, the University of the West of Scotland, and the Scottish Investment Bank, the investment arm of Scottish Enterprise.
Novosound
Bruin Sports Capital (Bruin) is to acquire Two Circles, a consumer data analytics, sports marketing, and technology practice from WPP. Terms of the agreement, which is subject to regulatory approval, have not been disclosed.
WPP will continue to hold a minority stake in the company.
