Software investor Hg has made an investment in Personal & Informatik AG (P&I), a provider of cloud-based HR software, headquartered in Germany, acquiring the holding from funds advised by Permira, the global private equity firm, for an enterprise value of EUR2 billion.  Permira funds remain invested in P&I with a substantial minority stake. The transaction will represent the 4th investment from the Hg Saturn 1 Fund, which had its first close in early 2018 and focuses on software businesses with enterprise values of more than GBP1 billion. Hg managed funds will become the majority shareholder in the business.    Hg
Graycliff Partners has held the final closing of the firm’s fourth private equity fund, Graycliff Private Equity Partners IV LP (GPEP IV). The oversubscribed fund closed at its hard cap of USD350 million in limited partner commitments.
Adams Street Partners, a private markets investment management firm with USD40 billion of assets under management, has held the final closing of the Adams Street 2019 Partnership Fund Program at approximately USD740 million in capital commitments. The global fund program received strong demand from investors worldwide, with commitments from both new and existing investors in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The diverse array of investors included public and corporate pension plans, high net worth individuals, foundations, and endowments. Redington, an independent institutional investment consultant, has secured private equity backing from Phoenix Equity Partners, a UK mid-market private equity firm.  Phoenix’s investment will enable Redington to continue to develop its long-term proposition for clients, while delivering exceptional service to them. Financial terms of the transactions are not being disclosed.   Redington provides framework-based, outcome-oriented investment advice, research and technology to some of the largest institutional investors in the UK, Europe and China. The business has seen strong growth in recent years, with Assets under Consulting increasing from GBP115 billion in 2013 to over GBP500 billion today. Private equity house WestBridge has sold portfolio company ISG Technology (ISG) to one of its channel partners, Allvotec, for an undisclosed sum. ISG provides network design, deployment and management services for multi-site clients in the UK.  The company has a strong UK presence in the retail and public sectors, and has long term, trusted relationships with many household names including Tesco and the Ministry of Justice.   WestBridge supported the management buyout of ISG in July 2016, paying GBP10.5 million. WaterBridge Holdings (WaterBridge) has raised USD345 million of equity capital through the issuance of USD195 million of common equity to: funds affiliated with Five Point Energy LLC; an affiliate of GIC;  and WaterBridge management, as well as USD150 million of preferred equity to Magnetar Capital, an alternative asset manager.   Proceeds will be used to fund acquisitions of produced water infrastructure from Primexx Energy Partners, Tall City Exploration III and Jetta Permian, as well as organic growth projects in the Southern Delaware Basin. In addition, WaterBridge has the ability to issue, and Magnetar Capital has the right to acquire, an additional USD100 million
UK private equity house Maven Capital Partners (Maven), has made a profitable exit from Prime Document Limited (Prime) following the sale of the business to Belgium-based Unifiedpost Group SA, generating a 2.6x return. Maven’s Investor Partner network originally backed the management buy-in (MBI) of Prime, a financial document management services provider, in May 2016. Prime specialises in the production and distribution of business-critical documents, such as invoices, pay slips, pension and tax statements, which are required to comply with industry regulations or legislative requirements. LDC has agreed to sell its significant stake in the high-performance loudspeaker business Martin Audio to Focusrite, the global music and audio products company, in a GBP39.2million sale.  The transaction follows a period of significant growth for Martin Audio and provides a money multiple return of 2.6x for LDC.   Martin Audio was founded in 1971 by legendary Australian sound engineer Dave Martin who started out producing touring systems for international super groups including Pink Floyd, The Who and Supertramp. It designs, manufactures and distributes premium professional sound systems across the globe, providing the audio equipment for one in five festivals worldwide.
Limerston Capital backed Prism Medical Healthcare (Prism Medical) has completed the acquisition of Harvest Healthcare Ltd (Harvest) for an undisclosed sum.  Prism Medical supports customers in a range of care environments, such as homes, care homes and hospitals, and provides a full-service that includes the design, installation and servicing of its equipment across the homecare, long-term and acute care markets. The group operates from eight UK locations, employs circa 450 highly skilled staff delivering a portfolio of 180 products.  South Yorkshire based Harvest offer a comprehensive range of pressure care equipment from profiling beds, static and active mattresses and cushions
