Vista Equity Partners (Vista) is to acquire a majority stake in Sonatype, a company that scales DevOps through open source governance and software supply chain automation. Infrastructure-focused Independent investment manager Asterion Industrial Partners has exceeded its fundraising target in less than one year since the launch of its first fund, Asterion Industrial Infra Fund I, FCR. The Fund, with a target size of EUR850 million, was registered with the CNMV (Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores – Spain’s market regulator) on 16th November 2018 and reached EUR901 million in commitments on 31October 2019. HKW, a middle-market private equity firm focused on growth-oriented companies, has acquired John M Floyd & Associates (JMFA), a provider of software and consulting solutions designed to optimise overdraft programs for regional/community banks and credit unions. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.    Headquartered in Houston, Texas, JMFA serves more than 350 regional/community bank and credit union customers with its core overdraft privilege program, and also provides vendor contract negotiation services. MMC Ventures, a research-led VC investor, has launched a new GBP100 million Scale Up Fund to provide expansion capital to its later-stage portfolio companies.  The Scale Up Fund will provide primary capital to current portfolio companies that have grown beyond the mandate of MMC Ventures’ existing funds. The Scale Up Fund can also participate in secondary transactions, offering liquidity to early MMC and third-party investors. British Patient Capital, a subsidiary of the British Business Bank, has committed USD45 million to Balderton Capital Fund VII, as it closes at USD400 million. Asian private equity firm NewQuest Partners has held the final close of its fourth dedicated secondary fund, NewQuest Asia Fund IV with over USD1 billion in total commitments, surpassing its initial target of USD850 million. The Fund increased its original hard cap of USD950 million to accommodate strong investor demand. Fund IV investors include a diverse group of endowment funds, pension funds, sovereign funds, insurers, financial institutions and family offices across Asia, North America, Europe and the Middle East. HDFH has formally launched the Global Digital Bank Consortium Blockchain Investment Fund at the 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai. European retail sector investor, Alteri Investors (Alteri) is to acquire Blue Group Hold Co (the Group), the owner of Bensons for Beds, Harveys Furniture and upholstery and bedding manufacturers Reylon, Steinhoff UK Beds and Formation Furniture, from Steinhoff International Holdings NV (Steinhoff). Harveys and Bensons for Beds, which have been owned by Steinhoff since 2005, trade from 269 stores.
