Biogen, thane anaerobic digestion portfolio platform led by Ancala Partners (Ancala), has acquired a 1.1MW operational anaerobic digestion facility located in Weston-super-Mare, England, from Enovert for an undisclosed sum.
The facility will be integrated into Ancala’s UK anaerobic digestion platform, Biogen, a leading owner and operator of anaerobic digestion plants in the UK.
The facility is an important component of a broader waste management and food recycling programme in the region, with discarded food waste collected from the local area as well as additional waste from local businesses. Methane gas is then produced and converted through a CHP engine

BrandFX is the largest manufacturer of composite glass fibre vehicle bodies in the nation, primarily serving the power and telephone industries, with headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas. Time Manufacturing, headquartered in Waco, Texas, is a global designer, manufacturer, and distributor of vehicle-mounted aerial lifts primarily for the telecom and electric utility end markets.

Acton Capital, Munich-based growth venture capital investor, has held the final closing of its new Acton Fund V at USD215 million (EUR193 million).
Building upon the success of its previous funds, the new fund will focus on tech-enabled business models and startups in their growth stage.

Bolt, a European on-demand transportation platform, has launched a dedicated environmental impact fund with seed capital of EUR10 million aimed at initiatives which deliver global social and environmental benefits.
The fund’s first transaction will finance a forest creation project that plants trees to increase natural carbon sequestration, increase biodiversity, stop pollutants from entering water courses, and prevent the erosion of topsoil. The initiative involves planting over 9,500 trees on 5.8 hectares of land in Angus, Scotland.
