GP Bullhound has invested USD10 million in RavenPack, a provider of alternative data and insights for financial institutions.
The company’s database, comprising over 19,000 sources spanning over 20 years, is used by financial institutions who subscribe to the platform in order to enhance performance and manage risk. RavenPack will use the proceeds to expand in Asia, as well as to go into other sectors beyond financial services.

New investment company Impel Healthcare Catalysts (Impel) has completed its first deal by acquiring a majority stake in pioneering ostomy company Trio Healthcare (Trio).
This is the first major deal for Knutsford-based Impel, which was launched earlier this month by entrepreneurs Richard Anderson and Spencer Kerry – previously part of the management team behind Crawford Healthcare – to be a catalyst for innovation and growth in the healthcare sector.

Investcorp Group (Investcorp) has signed a structured secondary transaction with HarbourVest to provide liquidity for Investcorp’s existing USD866 million MENA private equity investment portfolio with up to an additional USD70 million of new capital for follow-ons and up to a further USD60 million for new investments.
This transaction is subject to the receipt of requisite investor elections, and relevant regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
Investcorp will maintain an interest in the Portfolio and Investcorp’s MENA Private Equity team will continue to manage the Portfolio.

Engineering design consultancy, Hydrock, has acquired Yorkshire-based MRB Consulting Engineers, as the company expands its footprint across the UK.
Hydrock has been backed by BGF since 2018. Since BGF’s investment, Hydrock has seen significant growth, opening a new office in Birmingham and expanding its teams in Manchester, Cardiff and Southampton. BGF has provide follow-on funding to support the acquisition of MRB and to enhance Hydrock’s ongoing strategic development plans.
MRB was founded in 2007 and delivers building services design and environmental engineering consultancy services on a wide range of property schemes both in northern England and across the UK.
Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) has reached an agreement with Siemens AG to acquire an additional 10 per cent stake in Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm (Gwynt y Môr) in the UK.
Gwynt y Môr is a 576 MW offshore wind farm positioned 13 kilometres off the coast of North Wales. Operational since 2015, Gwynt y Môr comprises of 160 3.6 MW wind turbines spread across 80 square kilometres. Each year, the wind farm provides enough clean electricity to power approximately 430,000 UK homes.

Los Angeles-based private equity firm Vance Street Capital has recapitalised Eirtech Aviation Services (EAS), a provider of specialist aviation services for the largest airlines and aircraft leasing companies globally. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Itarle, a provider of high-performance best execution services to banks, has created Itarle Ventures, a new Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to co-invest with partners in new data analysis and liquidity services, and shared market infrastructure initiatives.

PHD Equity Partners (PHD) has invested in Auto Marine Cables (AMC), a family-run supplier of low-voltage cables to the automotive and marine industries, to drive its growth.
The company has a turnover of GBP14 million, which allows it to deliver on orders within short lead times, and offers cables ranging from under five metres to over six kilometres in length. The funding will allow AMC to boost its growth by expanding its product range, export trade and enable current owners, Peter and Diane Hammond to realise part of their investment in the business.
