Speechmatics, a specialist in machine learning and automatic speech recognition, has raised GBP6.35m in Series A funding led by AlbionVC; IQ Capital followed on in this round along with several angel investors.

London-based asset management consultancy MJ Hudson is to acquire the Jersey administrator, Anglo Saxon Trust (AST), subject to Jersey Financial Services Commission regulatory approval and certain other conditions.
AST is an established provider of company and trust formation, registrar and administration services and is regulated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission.
The acquisition follows the purchase by MJ Hudson of the Dutch ESG business of Spring Associates in July and US/UK benchmarking and analytics business Amaces at the end of 2018. It adds to MJ Hudson’s existing operations in Jersey and helps consolidate a growing pan-Channel Islands business for
Maven Capital Partners (Maven), one of the UK’s most active private equity houses, has led a GBP5.3 million funding round in E-Fundamentals, a leading eCommerce insights platform.
London and Edinburgh-based e.fundamentals is a market-leading ecommerce analytics platform that helps many of the world’s largest brand owners rigorously improve the sales and profit performance of their products on retailers’ and wholesalers’ websites.
The investment will give e.fundamentals, which already operates in 10 countries, the ability to deliver services in more key ecommerce regions and globally. This will include a launch in the US with a version of the e.fundamentals platform
Mubadala Capital has launched its first MENA-focused tech investment funds. With a total of USD250 million (AED 918 million), the Mubadala MENA tech funds will capitalise on the growing startup scene in in the region while empowering tech talent in the Emirates and across the wider region.

Global investment manager AMP Capital has agreed to acquire Expedient (Continental Broadband,), a leading US provider of cloud computing and data centre services, from Landmark Media.
Expedient offers an integrated suite of colocation, cloud, managed services and network access products to a highly diverse base of over 1,200 customers. The business operates 11 self-directed data center facilities and leverages a half dozen partner facilities in order to provide critical outsourced information technology solutions to a range of businesses and industries across the US from its eight operational locations in Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, Memphis, Phoenix and Pittsburgh.

Middle-market private equity firm One Equity Partners (OEP) has completed the acquisition of ORS MEDCO, a wholesaler of maintenance and repair focused non-discretionary and consumable industrial and automotive aftermarket products, from Essendant. in a corporate carve-out transaction.
Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois, ORS MEDCO distributes safety and security products, tools, body shop & repair products, welding, paint, chemicals, and abrasives operating through its ORS Nasco, Medco, and Nestor distribution networks. The Company has 1,100 employees and 35 facilities that serve over 15,000 independent distributors, national distributors and online resellers.

Pan-European payment processor, Lemon Way has secured a EUR25 million investment from London-based specialist financial services investor, Toscafund Asset Management (Toscafund).
The transaction is Toscafund’s first private equity investment in France.
Lemon Way is a Paris-based regulated payment institution focusing on marketplaces, crowdfunding platforms and e-comerce websites that require payment processing, wallet management and third-party services in a KYC/AML-regulated framework. It currently manages over seven million payment accounts. Lemon Way offers an all-in-one solution of modular and proprietary API-based services ranging from on-boarding to cash pay-out flows.

Headquartered in Vienna, Virginia, BRTRC is a provider of support services across the Army and other US Department of Defence and Intelligence Community agencies. Endless, a private equity investor, has acquired Victoria Plum from TPG Capital.
Founded in 2001, Victoria Plum provides a range of predominantly own-branded bathroom products, including bathroom suites, bathroom furniture and accessories. Victoria Plum currently employs more than 300 people and the investment from Endless will support the online bathroom retailer’s continued growth.
Endless has acquired the entire issued share capital of the business for an undisclosed sum and will work with the management team to continue investing in its people, digital and retail experience and expanding its product and services offering.

UK mid-market private equity investor Livingbridge has closed the Livingbridge Enterprise 3 fund with total capital commitments of GBP334 million, an increase of 50 per cent on its predecessor fund, Livingbridge Enterprise 2, a 2015 vintage fund.
Enterprise 3, which will leverage Livingbridge’s experience, international network and growth acceleration capabilities, will invest in fast growth SMEs primarily in the UK, with an enterprise value of up to GBP50 million across the firm’s sectors: TMT; services; consumer markets; and healthcare and education.
