Ingenious’ Infrastructure Ventures EIS Service has invested in Winnow, the technology company behind Winnow Vision, an artificial intelligence tool helping chefs cut food waste in half, as it completes its series B round of funding at USD12 million.
Other co-investors in this fund raising round include Ingka Investments, Mustard Seed, Circularity Capital, D-Ax in addition to Ingenious. This follows a recent loan from The European Investment Bank (EIB) and in total means the firm has raised USD20 million in the last month, allowing it to focus on global markets.

Idinvest Partners, aa investor in SMEs across Europe, has anheldnounced the final closing of its third digital fund at EUR350 million, having surpassed its initial fundraising target of EUR300 million.
The fund, managed by a team of nine investors, has attracted many new LPs from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. It has also been highly successful among investors who, following their participation in the previous fund, extended their commitment.
The final close of the Idinvest Digital Fund III has surpassed that of its predecessor, the Idinvest Digital Fund II, which secured EUR154 million.

European venture capital firm Sofinnova Partners has closed its latest early-stage healthcare fund Sofinnova Capital IX, oversubscribed at EUR333 million.
The firm now has more than EUR2 billion under management with more than EUR1 billion raised in the last four years across its platform of life sciences funds.

The Riverside Company (Riverside), a global private equity firm focused on the smaller end of the middle market, has sold Fisher Unitech (Fisher), a provider of 3D design software tools and 3D printers, to Computer Aided Technology (CATI), a portfolio company of CIVIC Partners (CIVIC).
Based in Pleasant Ridge, Michigan, Fisher has 17 locations with sales showrooms and training venues across the Midwest and Northeast. Fisher serves as a key channel partner to design software provider, Dassault Systemes Solidworks and 3D printer manufacturer, Statasys. Global beauty brand SLG has acquired three high street brands – Amie Naturally Kind Skincare, Johnny’s Chop Shop Grooming and COLAB Dry Shampoo.
The three deals amount to a consideration of over GBP15 million.

Funds advised by YFM Equity Partners (YFM) have backed a GBP4.5 million investment into SharpCloud Software Limited (SharpCloud) to support the continued growth and roll out of its enterprise SaaS product.
YFM’s investment comes from its two advised VCTs, British Smaller Companies VCT plc and British Smaller Companies VCT2 plc, alongside YFM Equity Partners Growth II LP.

Provate equity firm Permira has held a final closing for its latest buy-out fund Permira VII (P7), at its hard cap with total commitments of EUR11 billion.
P7 will follow Permira’s long-term strategy of investing in market-leading businesses that benefit from strong and resilient underlying growth drivers. The Fund will continue to deploy across Permira’s key sectors: technology, consumer, financial services, health care, industrial tech and services.

Specialist alternative asset manager, Gresham House plc (Gresham House), has held the interim close of its British Strategic Investment Fund (BSIF) taking total commitments to GBP200 million.
The final close is expected in the first quarter of 2020.
Greater Manchester Pension Fund and Greater London Authority have made new commitments totally GBP35 million.
