iLevel Solutions, a provider of private equity software and reporting solutions, has formed a strategic partnership with Hamilton Lane, an independent financial institution that provides discretionary and non-discretionary private equity asset management services, to expand the existing iLevel platform to encompass the data needs of limited partners.
"The vision at iLevel has always been to provide the platform to the alternative asset market that integrates all information for general partners and limited partners to monitor investments, prepare and report valuations, and exchange information. Our expansion from covering the specific data needs of general partners to covering those of the limited partners through this strategic partnership is the logical next step. More importantly, we aim to be an integral part of the solution in creating effective and efficient communication and secure data sharing between both parties," says Rick Kushel, chief executive officer of iLevel Solutions.
The partnership, which includes a material investment by Hamilton Lane in iLevel, will combine the domain expertise in private equity from both firms to address the increased market demand for transparent sharing of accurate, timely fund and investment data between limited partners and general partners.
The partnership adds the global limited partner perspective and will accelerate iLevel’s development and delivery of an integrated limited partner cash management and portfolio performance platform.
The current iLevel portfolio management platform enables general partners to automate portfolio company data collection, fast-track internal valuation and reporting workflows, and quickly analyse performance for individual companies or entire funds.
"From our perspective at Hamilton Lane, we clearly understand that transparency and information sharing between LPs and GPs are vital to making key investment decisions," says Erik Hirsch (pictured), chief investment officer at Hamilton Lane, who is joining iLevel’s board of directors. "Until now, this process has been challenging and lacked uniformity and efficiency. This new platform will be a superhighway of information – fast, efficient and functional with the added capability to analyse the data. Gathering and analysing information quickly and painlessly will be a game changer for the industry and a win/win for LPs and GPs."
