BioMed Partners has invested in Tolremo therapeutics as part of USD9.3 million Series A financing round.
Tolremo therapeutics was founded in March 2017 as a Spin-off from ETH Zürich. Tolremo’s proprietary platform has the potential to change cancer therapy by targeting resistance-causing molecular mechanisms up-front, thereby addressing drug resistance proactively before it develops.
Tolremo therapeutics has also further strengthened its Board of Directors with the oncology, medical and industry experts Dr. Erich Greiner, Prof. em. Thomas Cerny, and Dr Andreas Wallnöfer. Dr Wallnöfer, General Partner BioMedPartners will represent BioMed on the board.
Blue Ocean Maritime Income, a closed-ended company which intends to operate as an investment trust, is to launch an initial public offering (IPO) on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
The IPO will be by way of a placing and offer for subscription targeting the issue of 250 million ordinary shares at an issue price of USD1.00 per Ordinary Share.

In this transaction, a new investment fund, advised by ForeVest, has acquired portfolio companies from NEP II. Tailwind Capital (Tailwind), a middle-market private equity firm investing in targeted sectors within healthcare, business services and industrial services, has closed Tailwind Capital Partners III with USD1.8 billion of capital commitments.
The fund, which exceeded its initial target and was oversubscribed, will pursue the same investment strategy Tailwind has employed since its inception – partnering with experienced management teams and entrepreneurs in North America to transform businesses through organic growth initiatives, acquisitions, and operational and strategic investments. Tailwind primarily targets companies with enterprise values up to USD250 million.

The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
