Mid-market private equity investor LDC has completed a minority investment in leading vehicle management and logistics support specialist SMH Fleet Solutions with acquisition facilities provided by HSBC. Offshore law firm, Mourant Ozannes, has advised Low Carbon, a privately-owned investment company, in connection with the establishment of VLC Renewables Fund I (VLC Renewables). VLC Renewables was established in Jersey as an unregulated eligible investor fund and structured using Jersey limited partnerships. It was created to invest in renewable energy projects which received initial commitments of EUR200 million from Vitol, one of the world’s largest energy companies.   The fund, advised by Low Carbon, will invest in European renewable energy generation projects. Northleaf Capital Partners (Northleaf) has raised USD2.2 billion in new capital across its global private equity program. Northleaf now manages more than USD11 billion in private equity, private credit and infrastructure commitments on behalf of institutional investors in Canada, Europe and the United States. The business will use BGF’s funding to continue its organic growth and further expand its distribution network. Founded in 1985 by Mike Pizzey, the family-owned business is an independent manufacturer of bespoke filter housings and cartridges. It provides a complete range of standard and customised filter housings and consumables for use in a wide range of industrial sectors.
