UK-based mid-market private equity investor LDC has backed the secondary buyout of Mandata, a developer of transport management software, in a GBP20 million deal.
The deal also represents an exit for Synova Capital.
Headquartered in Northumberland, Mandata designs and develops software that allows road transport operators to manage workflow and data more effectively. Its transport management system integrates a suite of end-to-end products, including traffic planning and management, tracking, telematics, and invoicing. Used by hauliers across the UK, Mandata helps customers to improve productivity, deliver efficiency savings, and improve real-time visibility of their operations.

A company backed by private equity firm Permira is to acquire Cisco’s Service Provider Video Software Solutions (SPVSS) business.
Following the close of the transaction, the Permira Funds will create a new, rebranded company focused on developing and delivering video solutions for the Pay-TV industry.
The new company will encompass a broad portfolio, including Cisco’s Infinite Video Platform, cloud digital video recording, video processing, video security, video middleware, and services groups. Highly-regarded video industry leader Dr Abe Peled, former Chairman and CEO of NDS and adviser to the Permira Funds, will serve as Chairman of the new company. The

Egeria is to acquire 100 per cent of the shares of consumer electronics manufacturer Trust. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

An affiliate of private equity investment firm HIG Capital (HIG) is to acquire Elekeiroz, a leading chemicals manufacturer in Brazil, from its controlling shareholder Itaúsa – Investimentos Itaú, one of Brazil’s largest conglomerates.
HIG will acquire 96.5 per cent of the Company’s shares from Itaúsa and plans to acquire the remaining shares as soon as possible. Elekeiroz, which is listed on the São Paulo stock exchange, generated sales of over BRL975 million in 2017.
Founded in 1894 in the state of São Paulo, Elekeiroz is the sole producer of oxo-alcohols in Latin America and the largest producer of plasticisers
