Based in Keighley, West Yorkshire, Platinum Stairlifts manufactures a full suite of stairlift products. An affiliate of Blue Wolf Capital Fund IV has acquired a majority stake in Petrosmith, a provider of production equipment and oilfield tubular goods (OCTG) to the domestic oil and gas industry. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Petrosmith manufactures a broad suite of tanks (including oilfield storage tanks and gun barrel tanks) and vessels (including heater treaters, separators and vapour recovery towers) used by large E&P companies primarily in the Permian Basin, Eagle Ford and Mid-Continent region. The Company also sells a variety of new and used OCTG and provides a wide array of OCTG refurbishment services.
Orion Energy Partners, a private equity firm providing creative capital solutions to middle market energy infrastructure businesses, has closed Orion Energy Credit Opportunities Fund II. The fund was oversubscribed with commitments totalling USD816 million, exceeding the target fund size of USD750 million. Capital commitments to Orion Energy’s new fund represent major global investor markets, with nearly 50 per cent from the US, approximately 20 per cent from the UK & Europe and the remainder from Australia. Private equity firm 1315 Capital has held the single close of 1315 Capital II, a healthcare growth equity fund, at its hard cap over USD300 million, exceeding its USD250 million target.
