Ancala Midstream Acquisitions (Ancala Midstream) has completed its acquisition of Apache’s interests in the Scottish Area Gas Evacuation (SAGE) System and the Beryl Gas Pipeline for an undisclosed sum.
Ancala Midstream has been appointed as operator of both systems.
Ancala Midstream has been established by Ancala Partners, the independent mid-market infrastructure investment manager, as a platform to make and manage investments in North Sea midstream oil and gas infrastructure. Ancala appointed Jim Halliday as Chief Executive Officer of Ancala Midstream in November 2016.

Carey Olsen is the fastest growing legal adviser to investment funds domiciled in Jersey, according to the latest Monterey Insight Fund Report.
The annual report provides a comprehensive analysis of the performance of funds in Jersey and offers an insight into the primary service providers, including their overall market share.
Carey Olsen advised a total of 296 Jersey-domiciled investment funds at 30 June 2017 (up from 274 on last year). Significantly, the firm is one of two Jersey law firms to increase the number of Jersey-domiciled funds it advises.

Noerr has advised IDI Gazeley on the acquisition of its European division Gazeley by the Singaporean warehouse operator Global Logistic Properties (GLP).
GLP acquired Gazeley for USD 2.4 billion from the portfolio of the Canadian real estate investor Brookfield Asset Management.
Gazeley, the European division of global logistics company IDI Gazeley, is a leading investor and developer of logistics warehouses and distribution parks with a 33 million square foot portfolio concentrated in Europe’s key logistics markets, namely the UK, Germany, France and the Netherlands.

Onex Corporation (Onex) has raised USD7.15 billion for Onex Partners V, surpassing its USD6.5 billion target.
The fundraising was supported by both existing and new investors, including large public pension plans, sovereign wealth funds and other institutional investors globally.

Gide’s Casablanca and Brussels offices assisted Renault Trucks (Volvo group) on the divestment of its Moroccan subsidiary, Renault Trucks Maroc, to longstanding distribution partner Groupe Bernard Hayot (GBH).
The closing took place on 1 November 2017, following the approval of the transaction by the Moroccan competition authorities.
A long-standing distributor of Renault Trucks in the French Antilles, Reunion Island, Ghana and the Ivory Coast, GBH intends to expand its development in Africa and strengthen its offer on the Moroccan market. GBH was already present in North Africa with the Hertz franchise in Morocco and the distribution of Citroën and
Danish environmental services group Reconor, a portfolio company of private equity firm Agilitas, has completed its third acquisition of 2017. Financial terms of the deal have not been announced.
Reconor, based in Farum, Denmark, is further strengthening its activities in Southern Jutland with the acquisition of the business of 7-9-13 Recycling, a waste collection and recycling company established in 2000 and counting more than 250 customers, served with over 250 mini-containers and over 85 skips. The acquisition follows the purchase of Mijodan a/s, also based in Southern Jutland, in October 2017 and the acquisition of Lotra a/s in June 2017.
Noerr had advised Bridgepoint and its portfolio company WiggleCRC on the acquisition of Bike24 from the private equity fund Riverside.
Bike24 is an e-commerce platform for bicycles, sports equipment and clothing active in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The company, which is based in Dresden, was taken over in 2011 by Bridgepoint and is one of the fastest-growing online bicycle retailers in Europe.
