JMI Equity (JMI), a growth equity firm focused on investing in software companies has led a USD85 million growth investment in ServiceTrade, a provider of software as a service (SaaS) applications for commercial service contractors.  Existing investors Frontier Growth and Bull City Venture Partners also participated in the funding. With the additional capital, ServiceTrade will increase the pace of new product innovations to continue to meet the heightened demand from commercial service contractors.
Industrial Opportunity Partners (IOP), an operations-focused private equity firm, has completed the sale of portfolio company Union Corrugating Company Holdings to Cornerstone Building Brands, a manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America.  Terms of the transaction, which is IOP’s eighth investment realisation from its USD275 million second fund, Industrial Opportunity Partners II, have not disclosed. IOP acquired Union Corrugating in December 2016.
Inflexion has completed the sale of its investment in Halo Technology Group, an independent provider of compatible optics, to Amphenol Corporation, a provider of electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors and interconnect systems.  The transaction generated a 6x money multiple and 53 per cent IRR for investors in Inflexion funds and follows a four-year partnership which supported transformational acquisitive growth and saw profits increase by just under ten times. Inflexion created Halo in 2017 with the investment in UK business ProLabs in mid-2017 and its transformational acquisition of AddOn Computer Peripherals in the US less than six months later. 
Eurazeo, Speedinvest, and Frst, as well as the co-founders of social app Zenly and game-studio Voodoo, have invested USD10.8 million in a seed funding round in activist investment platform, Tulipshare, which aims to empower individuals to make a positive change within some of the biggest household name companies in the world. 
Davies, a specialist professional services and technology business, serving insurance and highly regulated markets, has acquired Sionic, an international consulting and technology firm serving the insurance, banking, and wider highly regulated markets. In March 2021 Davies announced that BC Partners had signed a definitive deal to take a majority stake in the business, to support Davies’ next phase of international expansion and continued digital transformation. The BC Partners deal closed in August, following receipt of regulatory approvals.
Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate services firm, HAS finalised a strategic investment of USD500 million in Greystone, a national commercial real estate finance company, acquiring a 40 per cent stake in Greystone’s Agency, FHA and Servicing businesses. Greystone, a multi-family lender, intends to use the capital to create new product offerings which will position the company for future expansion.
ClearCourse Partnership, a group of innovative technology companies providing market-leading software, services and integrated payments solutions, is to acquire Eworks Manager , a provider of job management software.  Financial terms of the acquisition, which sees the Company strengthen the Group’s Business Services division, have not been disclosed.
Cigna Ventures, the corporate venture capital partner and wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Cigna Corporation (Cigna), has participated in a USD750 million financing to support Bright Health Group, a technology-enabled fully aligned system of care, built for healthcare’s consumer retail market. The Company’s largest existing shareholder, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), will also participate as a co-investor.  Under the terms of the investment, Cigna and NEA will purchase, in aggregate, USD750 million of convertible perpetual preferred stock (the Series A Preferred), with a purchase price of USD1,000 per share. Audax Private Equity (Audax) has made a strategic growth investment in Veterinary Practice Partners (VPP), a veterinary practice management group and portfolio company of Pamlico Capital.  Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed but VPP will use the investment funds to further its co-ownership model whereby it provides operational support to veterinarians across learning and development, HR and recruiting, marketing, technology, and finance.
Alcidion Group Limited (Alcidion) has signed a binding share purchase agreement (SPA) to acquire 100 per cent of the issued capital of Silverlink PCS Software Ltd (Silverlink).  The acquisition price for Silverlink is GBP30.0 million (AUD55.5 million) upfront in cash, with a further GBP3.0 million (AUD5.5 million) subject to earn-out based on successful renewal of select customers prior to 31 March 2024.  Concurrently, the Company is raising AUD55 million via a placement, and underwritten accelerated non-renounceable entitlement offer to institutional and retail shareholders.
