Caisse des Dépôts has received a binding offer from Tikehau Capital, an alternative asset management group, to acquire a 42 per cent stake in its subsidiary Egis, a specialist in engineering, construction and mobility services. Egis creates and operates smart infrastructure and buildings capable of responding to the climate emergency and the major challenges of our time, by enabling more balanced, sustainable and resilient regional development.   Pursuant to the proposed transaction, Tikehau Capital would hold 40 per cent to 44 per cent of Egis’ capital, through its T2 Energy Transition Fund[1]. AIM-listed Hardide (Hardide) has secured a GBP250,000 funding package from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) East & South East Midlands Debt Finance fund, managed by Maven Capital Partners (Maven) and backed by the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS). The business intends to use the funding, which it secured back in April, to continue its innovative product development and expand its business development activity. Bicester-headquartered Hardide is responsible for developing advanced nano-technology metal coatings, which are used to help increase the lifespan and optimise the performance of vital metal components which operate in abrasive, erosive and chemically aggressive environments.
Longford Capital Management, a specialist in commercial litigation finance, has held the final closing of its most recent fund (including a parallel fund, Fund III), at USD682 million.  Longford’s assets under management now exceed USD1.2 billion, placing it among the largest private equity firms focused on investments in legal assets. GroVentive has completed a successful investment in Coastr, a Scottish technology startup, which enables car hire firms to become fully digitalised via a cloud-based “all-in-one” vehicle rental management platform delivering keyless entry, remote vehicle immobilisation, and real-time fleet monitoring.  The Edinburgh-based company plans to launch additional products into the market in 2022 such as on-demand fleet insurance, integrated vehicle financing and connectivity to market aggregators and booking platforms. Granite Creek Capital Partners, a private investment firm based in Chicago, has partnered with Equivu Capital (Equivu) on an investment in C&C Manufacturing (C&C), a manufacturer and distributor of heavy equipment, providing high-quality machinery to the scrap metal recycling, waste management, and airport maintenance equipment markets alongside a suite of aftermarket replacement parts and value-added services.
