Bradford Health Services, a US provider of addiction treatment programs, has acquired Cornerstone of Recovery, a Tennessee-based substance use disorder treatment provider. Bradford Health Services is backed by Centre Partners, a middle-market private equity firm focused on the consumer and healthcare sectors.
Butterfly, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm specialising in the food sector, is to partner with Chosen Foods (Chosen Foods), an industry leader and pioneer of avocado oil and creator of avocado-based kitchen staples including cooking sprays, mayonnaises, dressings, simmer sauces, guacamole, and salsa.
Butterfly will own a majority stake in the business. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Accenture is to acquire King James Group, a creative agency with deep expertise in brand strategy, creativity and digital marketing services.
The move will strengthen Accenture Interactive’s focus on putting creativity at the center of experience-led transformation to drive relevance and growth for its clients.

The management team at musical instrument retailer GAK has completed a management buyout (MBO) following investment from Risk Capital Partners, with the support of specialist business advisory firm FRP.
Brighton-based GAK was founded in 1992 by CEO Gary Marshall, and is a leading musical instrument retailer, supplying a wide range of guitars, amps, drums, keyboards and music production software.
The business is now preparing for a period of growth, having been acquired by co-managing directors Max McKellar and Ian Stephens, with investment from Risk Capital Partners, which becomes the majority shareholder.

Headquartered in Stockholm, the Iver group specialises in IT outsourcing and multi-cloud solutions.

Elvie, a global health and lifestyle brand developing products for women, has extended its Series C funding with a further GBP12.7 million (USD17.5 million) investment.
This investment – an extension to the initial Series C funding announced in July 2021 – takes Elvie’s total Series C to GBP70 million (USD97 million).

Ogier has acted as British Virgin Islands counsel on NASDAQ-listed Kismet Acquisition One Corp’s merger with Cyprus-based Nexters Global Limited, in a SPAC business combination valuing Nexters at an enterprise value of USD1.9 billion.
The deal, initially signed at the end of January this year, closed on 27 August following the prior approval of Kismet’s shareholders.
The acquisition price was settled in a combination of shares in a new NASDAQ listed BVI company, Nexters Inc, which will hold the merged business, and an additional USD132 million in cash, which will effectively be reinvested in the business to develop new games
