Global financial services private equity asset manager Apis Partners has added two new Partners to the Apis Group (Apis), who will broaden the group’s investment coverage.
Adam Battersby and Theofilos Kotridis will be based in the Apis’ London office and will focus on investment opportunities in Europe and the United States.

SwiftSkill, a digital platform that allows aspiring esports professionals to assess, track and improve their performance, has raised GBP150,000 in pre-seed funding from Jenson Funding Partners.
The funding will allow the business to expand its team and provide its service to additional esports game titles, to help gamers build their skills to become professional esports players.

Arrowpoint Advisory has advised Stewart Milne Group on the divestment of Stewart Milne Timber Systems, a UK-based timber frame manufacturer, to the Donaldson Group, a timber and building products specialist, operating throughout the UK.
Stewart Milne Group (SMG) was founded in 1975 and is one of the UK’s largest independent housebuilders with offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester and 20-plus active sites UK-wide. SMG will now focus on investing in additional sites for its Homes Division, using their considerable land buying experience to take advantage of development opportunities.

Hampleton Partners’ Digital Commerce M&A report reveals that M&A growth in the sector is at an all-time high with over 2,317 deals signed in 2021, a 34 per cent increase on the 1,725 deals closed in 2020, and a 65 per cent increase on 2019 figures.
Hampleton’s report also highlights USD400 billion in disclosed transaction value across the sector in 2021, including USD140 billion in the second half of 2021 – 21 per cent of which can be attributed to the take-private of buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) solutions provider Afterpay by payments company Square for around USD30 billion.
