BGF has appointed Roshni Bandesha to the role of head of ESG and Sustainability.
In her role at BGF, Bandesha will be responsible for embedding its sustainability strategy and integrating ESG within new and existing portfolio companies. She will report directly into executive chairman, Stephen Welton.
Bandesha has spent the last decade working with global organisations to harness the power of ESG and purpose. Most recently, she led the impact and ESG strategy at LeapFrog Investments, one of the largest dedicated impact investors, reaching over 170 million low-income people across 11 emerging markets.

Sustainable Development Capital, SDCL, that it has now raised over USD2 billion for investment in energy efficiency, announced at Built Environment Day for COP26 in Glasgow.
SDCL manages the SDCL Energy Efficiency income Trust plc (SEIT), which is listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange, which has grown to over GPB1 billion equity market capitalisation. Through a combination of growth of its private equity infrastructure platform and the IPO of the SDCL EDGE Acquisition Corporation (SEDA) on the New York Stock Exchange in October, SDCL has now raised over USD2 billion for investment in energy efficient projects
The Riverside Company, a private investor focused on the smaller end of the middle-market, has appointed Allison Cole as Managing Director & Global Head, Fundraising and Investor Relations, leading Riverside’s expanding global fundraising and investor relations team.

Marc Shore and Dennis Kaltman have formed Max Solutions, Inc (MS), a differentiated packaging platform serving customers’ needs for quality, service, next generation innovation and sustainability.
Shore and Kaltman have a long history of success in the packaging industry, most recently at Multi Packaging Solutions and Westrock. Prior to that, Shore was the CEO of Shorewood Packaging. The funding for MS will be provided by Jefferson Capital Partners, Ltd (JCP) a private equity firm located in Richmond, Virginia. JCP recently closed Jefferson Capital Partners V LP, a fund solely dedicated to investing in MS.

When venture capital investor Kate Bingham was appointed to lead the UK’s coronavirus vaccine procurement effort in May 2020, Prime Minister Boris Johnson tasked her with delivering “speed, not perfection”.
