Gresham House Ventures – a growth equity investor specialising in software and digitally driven businesses in the consumer, healthcare and service sectors – has made a GBP3.3 million investment in Patchworks, a software company helping e-commerce businesses automate and manage data flows across backend systems.
Strategic Value Partners and its affiliates (SVPGlobal), a global investment firm focused on distressed debt, event-driven investments, special situations and private equity opportunities, has held the successful final closing of Strategic Value Special Situations Fund V (SVSS V) at its hard cap of USD5 billion.
This fund closing, when combined with SVPGlobal’s existing portfolios and other fund raises, including last summer’s approximately USD1.7 billion Dislocation Fund, has increased SVPGlobal’s total assets under management to more than USD17.5 billion, making it one of the largest global investors in the distressed debt and special situations space.

OvareVentures has announced a multifaceted investment in Fort Hamilton, producer of super-premium rye whiskies, bourbons, and soon, gin.
Fort Hamilton was founded in 2016 by entrepreneur and distiller Alex Clark, who was formerly instrumental in the launch and growth of Brooklyn’s Widow Jane distillery. Fort Hamilton whiskies are distilled from local rye grain, corn and malted barley in a traditional New York style. They are then barrelled at a low proof and always non-chill filtered to achieve optimal flavour and colour.

Morgan Stanley Investment Management has raised USD1.6 billion for North Haven Credit Partners III (NHCP III), exceeding its original fundraising target by 29 per cent.
Investors in NHCP III, the successor fund to North Haven Credit Partners II, include public and private pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies and individual investors. The Fund, managed by the Morgan Stanley Private Credit team, will focus primarily on junior capital investments in private North American businesses including 2nd lien debt, mezzanine debt, preferred equity and special situations.

Funds advised by Apax have reached agreement to acquire EveryAction from Insight Partners (Insight) and Social Solutions from Vista Equity Partners (Vista). The two companies will be combined with CyberGrants, which was recently acquired by the Apax Funds, to create a provider of next-generation Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions to the social good ecosystem.
The combined company will have an enterprise value of USD2 billion, making it the largest M&A transaction in the history of the social good software sector. Vista will maintain a stake in the combined business.
