Specialist business advisory firm FRP has reported a record 12 months during which its corporate finance and debt advisory team advised on 81 transactions with a combined enterprise value of GBP1.9 billion.
The news follows a record period of growth for the firm, which has seen its corporate finance and debt advisory team treble in size following a number of strategic acquisitions and senior appointments. Energy Impact Partners (EIP), a global investment platform leading the transition to a sustainable energy future, has launched the Elevate Future Fund (Elevate), which aims to create a more diverse founder community and inclusive venture capital ecosystem within the broader energy transition.
Elevate is targeting USD120 million in commitments and has already closed on more than half of this goal through strong support from its existing corporate investor network. Elevate has made three investments in companies led or founded by diverse talent and has a strong pipeline of additional opportunities.

A medtech company, which has developed a new biomaterial used for 3D printing medical implants, has completed a GBP1.6 million funding round.
The investment into Nottingham-based 4D Biomaterials was led by DSW Ventures and backed by the MEIF Proof of Concept & Early Stage Fund, which is managed by Mercia and part of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund, Mercia’s own funds, and existing investor SFC Capital.
The funding will be used to develop a range of products through partnerships with medical device companies and expand its team with the creation of five new jobs at its premises in MediCity.

A new global study has found that 70 per cent of private equity firms plan to invest in LatAm in the next five years – ahead of Asia Pacific – while over nine out of ten North American-based GPs are set to commit capital to the region by 2026.
According to the report ‘Recovery to Rediscovery: Capitalizing on a Changed Private Equity Landscape’, commissioned by Auxadi, 90 per cent of US-based private equity firms said they are interested in doing deals in LatAm. MIP V is Macquarie Asset Management’s sixth Americas-focused, unlisted infrastructure fund.
