Brown Shipley, a Quintet Private Bank, has appointed Gordon Scott as Head of Strategic Partnerships and Entrepreneurs Network.In the newly created and strategically important role, Scott will be responsible for developing long-term partnerships with corporate advisory businesses, tax advisers, private equity and the investment banking community. He will also focus on enhancing relationships with the entrepreneurial community, highlighting how Brown Shipley and Quintet can support them as part of an advisory team as they structure, finance and manage their wealth. Scott who will be Edinburgh-based, will operate on a national basis reporting to Calum Brewster, incoming Head of Private Banking.
Hg has made an investment in The Septeo Group (Septeo), a European specialist in LegalTech. Hg will invest alongside founders Philippe Rivière, Jean-Luc Boixel, Hugues Galambrun and the management team, which will continue to be led by Hugues Galambrun.The terms of the transaction are not disclosed and closing of the transaction is conditional on customary anti-trust approvals.

Mid-market private equity investor Livingbridge has agreed the sale of Giacom, a specialist cloud services marketplace which provides cloud services to SMEs via the Information Technology Consultants (ITCs) community. The investment was originally made from the Livingbridge six fund. The business has been acquired by Digital Wholesale Solutions.
The deal also marks an exit for minority shareholder, LDC which has been invested in Giacom since 2016.

SynOx Therapeutics Ltd (SynOx), a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company, has closed a EUR37 million Series A financing co-led by HealthCap and Medicxi and joined by investors Forbion and Gimv. SynOx, a spin out of Celleron Therapeutics Ltd (Celleron), secured exclusive world-wide rights for the clinical development, manufacturing and commercialisation of emactuzumab under a licence agreement with Roche.
