Novo Seeds’ portfolio company, NorthSea Therapeutics a Dutch biotech company developing novel and innovative strategies for the treatment of NASH (Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis) and other metabolic, inflammatory and fibrotic diseases, has successfully closed a USD40 million (EUR36 million) Series B financing round.The proceeds of this fundraising will be used by NST to drive the development of its pipeline of SEFA (Structural Engineered Fatty Acids) programs. The Company will develop two additional SEFAs within its clinical pipeline in addition to completing the Phase 2b with its lead candidate Icosabutate.

Floreat has appointed Phil Griffiths as Managing Director within Floreat Aviation Capital Limited, its specialist aircraft leasing investment arm. Griffiths brings extensive experience in the aviation sector, having closed over USD10 billion in aircraft finance and leasing transactions since 2003. He joins from DAE Capital, where he headed the company’s corporate finance and capital markets team. Prior to this he held various senior roles at AWAS, PK AirFinance, Rolls-Royce Capital and Airbus.

Great Point Media (Great Point), a London-based media and investment group, has appointed Jamie Lowe as Head of Institutional Distribution. Lowe will oversee the structuring and launch of Great Point’s global institutional project finance fund which will look to invest in large-scale media projects and finance film and television programming globally. Lowe joined Great Point from The Ingenious Group where he was a board director and Head of Institutional distribution.
Lowe’s appointment comes after Great Point secured its first institutional investment in December 2019 with a USD100 million commitment from US-based institutional fund manager MC Credit Partners.

Shoreline Equity Partners, a purpose-driven lower middle market private equity firm, has held the final close of its inaugural private equity fund, Shoreline Equity Partners Fund. Shoreline began fundraising in March, in conjunction with the Firm’s launch, with an initial target of USD250 million and was oversubscribed at its hard cap of USD300 million in commitments.
