Funds advised by YFM Equity Partners (YFM) have backed a GBP5.6 million investment into Unbiased EC1 Limited (Unbiased) an online platform that connects people to providers across the Financial Adviser, Mortgage Broker and Accountancy markets. Specialist fixed income manager, BlueBay Asset Management (BlueBay), has appointed Stephan Eckstein to the newly created role of Sales Director.Based in Zurich, Eckstein reports to Roberto Valsecchi Oliva, Head of Switzerland and Southern Europe and will be responsible for developing BlueBay’s presence with wholesale investors in the region. Stephan’s appointment continues to bolster BlueBay’s Swiss presence, following the appointments of Renato Aebi and Marc-Hendrik Berthold in 2018.

AvidXchange, a provider of accounts payable (AP) and payment automation solutions for the middle market, has raised USD260 million in equity capital as part of the company’s latest financing round. With contributions from TPG Sixth Street Partners and other investors, this brings total funding to more than USD800 million over the company’s 20-year history. The new capital will fuel AvidXchange’s continued growth and innovation, allowing the company to invest in its solutions for both buyers and suppliers while reaching more customers in the middle market.

Carey Olsen has cemented its position as the number one legal adviser to the investment funds industry in Guernsey, according to the latest findings of independent research group Monterey Insight.The 25th edition of the annual Guernsey Fund Report, which provides a comprehensive analysis of the performance of all funds serviced in Guernsey and their primary service providers, reports that for the year ending 30 June 2019, Carey Olsen provided legal advice to 798 Guernsey regulated investment funds, up from 750 a year previously, and now more than 600 ahead of its nearest competitor.
