Gioconda, the Italian subsidiary of LBO France, has taken a stake, alongside the current management team, in Bluclad, an Italian specialist in developing chemical solutions for the galvanisation of metal used in the luxury goods sector, mainly for clothing, footwear and luggage.
Founded in 2008 and based in Prato near Florence, Bluclad has created a unique service for the luxury goods sector in the development of galvanic processes for all metal accessories. The company, the leader on the Italian market, works closely with both Italian and foreign luxury companies to create tailor-made solutions, which it then markets to the galvanisers.

The vast majority of private equity investors (83 per cent) feel that compliance management is one of the most important operational factors when evaluating private equity funds, according to a new survey by Corgentum Consulting, a provider of operational due diligence reviews and background investigations.
Similarly, 79 per cent of respondents feel that a weak compliance framework would negatively influence their private equity investment decision. However, only 14 per cent of investors feel private equity managers place more emphasis on regulatory audit preparedness as compared to hedge funds.
