DWS has appointed Clarence Ng as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Alternatives Asia Pacific business, and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for DWS China.
In these newly created positions, Ng will be responsible for managing the implementation of all financial and governance aspects of the Alternatives business across the APAC region, in addition to managing all operational aspects of DWS Shanghai. Based in Shanghai, Ng will report to Leon Williams, Chief Operating Officer Alternatives, Asia Pacific.
Ng joins DWS with 16 years of experience. His most recent position held was Global Markets Finance Director for Deutsche Bank (China) Company

Private equity and venture capital investment into companies in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) reached a record EUR3.5 billion in 2017, new data from Invest Europe reveals.

Independent fund and corporate services provider, the Aztec Group, has been selected to administer the Jersey-based VLC Renewables Fund.
VLC Renewables will invest in European renewable generation projects. Primarily focused on onshore and offshore wind energy, it will target projects at various stages of the development cycle, including late stage development, construction and operation.
The fund, which builds on Low Carbon’s considerable expertise in renewables, has an initial EUR200 million commitment from Vitol and investment opportunities may be offered to third parties.

Parabellum Capital portfolio company Parseq, an international business process outsourcing firm, has sold its contact centre division to Scotland-based customer services outsourcer, Kura Group.
The terms of the sale, which follows a successful turnaround of the business led by its Executive Chairman and CEO Rami Cassis, are undisclosed, but the deal creates significant value for shareholders.
Parseq’s Finance and Administration division, which is Parseq’s historic core business, will continue to operate from its existing site at Hellaby, Yorkshire.
