Independent Growth Finance (IGF), a commercial finance provider for SMEs, has provided a GBP2 million asset based lending line to Insite Contracts Ltd, a high-end office fit out and refurbishment company based in Scotland. Based in the north of Glasgow, Insite has a client portfolio spanning the public, commercial fitout/refurbishment, industrial and retail markets.    Founded in 2004, Insite began its operations providing refurbishment and fit out services primarily within the office and healthcare sectors. HIG Capital has appointed Daniel Nader as principal in the HIG Latin America team, as part of a strategy to expand its investment activity into real estate assets in the region. Brazilian investment manager Captalys has launched its first offshore fund with the support of Apex Fund Services as administrator. Captalys has BRL1.5 billion in AUM and invests in Brazilian private credit.   The onshore fund has a six-year track-record (returning 20.2 per cent last year and 19.3 per cent in 2015) and started 2017 positively, gaining 1.7 per cent in January.   The recently launched offshore fund, Captalys Private Credit USD, is registered in the Cayman Islands and will operate a credit vehicle with a partial currency hedge to protect against the Brazilian real.   Running the new fund, which
Gro Solutions, a provider of digital growth solutions for banks and credit unions, has closed a USD4.25 million round of funding led by Atlanta-based TTV Capital with additional investments from BIP Capital, C&B Capital and BLH Venture Partners. Institutional alternative asset manager Crestline Investors has appointed Chris Golio as a managing director in the firm’s business development and client partnership group based in New York. Scottish-based business angel syndicate Archangels has appointed Shaolei McKie as its investment executive. McKie will support Archangels’ executive team in undertaking due diligence, business performance analysis, legal and investor liaison both for Archangels’ existing portfolio of investee companies and for new investment opportunities.   A Chartered Accountant, Shaolei joins Archangels from Edinburgh-based Corran Properties where she has been financial controller since 2012. Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance has provided USD12.1 million to support the US expansion of existing client James Grant Group, a management and professional services provider to clients including Ant & Dec, The Script and Davina McCall. The funding package consists of term loans and acquisition facilities to support James Grant Group’s purchase of US talent management business Deckstar Artist Management.   Investec has been working with James Grant Group since 2014, when it backed the buyout of the business by European private equity firm Metric Capital. Reduxio Systems, a specialist in storage and data management solutions for the enterprise with to-the-second BackDating recovery capability, has secured USD22.5 million of Series C funding in a round anticipated to total up to USD32 million. NTR has closed two project debt facilities back-to-back in a matter of weeks with Nord/LB, totalling EUR50 million.
