Equistone Partners Europe-backed Apogee Corporation has bolted on Hibernian Business Equipment, an Irish print management and managed print services provider.
The deal marks the second acquisition since Equistone provided a significant investment in September 2016.
Apogee has completed acquisitions in Scotland, Wales and Germany this year and will continue to make further acquisitions to drive growth in the UK and Europe.

The number of European private equity-backed deals declined during the summer holiday period, down 15.1 per cent to 309 transactions in Q3 2016 from the 364 transactions seen in the previous three months.
This is according to preliminary figures from the Q3 2016 Private Equity Barometer, published by unquote” in association with SL Capital Partners.
The combined deal value also decreased by 23.5 per cent.
The average deal value in the third quarter (EUR80 million) was 9.9 per cent lower than that of the second quarter (EUR88 million).

IK Investment Partners’ IK VIII Fund has reached an agreement to acquire Granite Holding (Schock), a granite kitchen sink manufacturer, from HQ Equita.
Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
The original inventor of the manufacturing technology commonly used in the production of granite sinks, more than 60 per cent of all quartz composite sinks manufactured worldwide are based on the production technique developed by Schock.

UK venture capital investor Albion Ventures has completed the acquisition of OLIM from Close Brothers Group.
The acquisition was first announced on 27 September 2016, subject to regulatory approval.
OLIM is a fund manager specialising in UK quoted equities, with around GBP500 million of assets under management.
The completion of the acquisition further diversifies Albion’s investment management expertise into quoted equities and increases its assets under management and administration to over GBP950 million.

Emarsys, a B2C marketing cloud company, has secured a USD22.3 million (GBP18.3 million) investment from TPG Specialty Lending Europe (TSLE), the European specialty lending investment platform of TSSP.
The financing will fuel innovation in artificial intelligence and data science, and accelerate growth at Emarsys as it seeks new opportunities in existing and new markets such as the US.
Emarsys customers will benefit from cloud-based marketing technologies resulting from the investment that will allow them to scale personalised interactions with consumers.

The Thomson Reuters Private Equity Buyout Index and the Thomson Reuters Venture Capital Index fell by 1.88 per cent and 0.19 per cent, respectively, in October.
Year to date, the indices are up 3.64 per cent and 3.63 per cent respectively.
