Technology, media and communications investment bank Drake Star Partners has launched private equity co-investments which are made with its own capital in partnership with like-minded co-investors. They consist of partnerships on behalf of some of the world's largest multi-billion-dollar single family offices.   It comes just over a month after Redwood Capital and LD&A Jupiter announced their merger to form Drake Star Partners.   Drake Star Partners seeks to invest between USD15 million to USD100 million of capital per transaction in middle market private equity technology, media and communications investment opportunities, including buyouts, build-ups, acquisitions, growth equity and recapitalisations worldwide.

The Private Equity Women Investor Network (PEWIN), a networking organisation for senior women in private equity with chapters in the US, Europe, Africa and Asia, has expanded to Nigeria. It follows the formal launch of PEWIN Africa earlier in the year in South Africa.   The invitation-only members organisation, which was founded in 2007 in the US, has been expanding internationally, opening London and Hong Kong chapters in 2015 in its first international expansion move. REG Power Management has signed an asset management contract with BlackRock for the recently constructed 18MW Batsworthy Cross Wind Farm in Devon, England.  Batsworthy Cross joins the 26MW Glens of Foudland wind farm acquired by BlackRock from Centrica earlier this year.    Last month BlackRock also appointed REG as the asset manager for four solar projects totalling circa 63MWp, adding to five existing ground-mounted solar PV assets under management by REG for BlackRock funds.   REG Asset Management now has around 20 wind and 14 solar projects under management across the UK, taking the total managed capacity to nearly 260MW.

Aurelius Equity Opportunities has reported a 63 per cent increase in consolidated revenues to EUR1,926.9 million in the first nine months of 2016. The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Mubadala Development Company (Mubadala) and other investment funds have confirmed plans for their interest in two potential investments in the Russian agricultural and food production sectors.
