Teamleader has raised an investment of EUR10 million in a funding round led by Fortino Capital.
The funds will be used by Teamleader to further develop its product into a fully-fledged platform for SMEs.
Jeroen De Wit, CEO of Teamleader, says: “This investment will allow us to quickly seek out new markets. Of course, we will also continue to invest in the product and in providing our existing clients with support. After all, our strategy of staying close to our clients is what makes us successful, and that’s something we will never lose sight of.”
Teamleader was launched
After 15 years in business, Financière Cambon is changing its name and visual identity to Cambon Partners.
The change is designed to reflect the firm’s growing international standing and mark the beginning of a new phase in its development.
Cambon Partners, the only French M&A boutique with a physical presence in the Silicon Valley, has also hired Laurent Azout, previously partner at Messier Maris & Associés, in charge of the TMT sector, and executive director at Lazard.
Azout has completed over 60 transactions, mainly in the TMT sector, and has extensive expertise in the digital space.

Harris Williams & Co is advising Grohmann Engineering on its pending sale to Tesla Motors.
Grohmann is a developer and manufacturer of highly customised, high yield, multi-process modular assembly solutions for future oriented end-markets.
Harris Williams & Co served as the exclusive financial adviser to Klaus Grohmann, founder and majority stakeholder of Grohmann Engineering, and Deutsche Beteiligungs, a German listed private equity company and minority stakeholder of Grohmann Engineering.
Post transaction, Grohmann Engineering will become Tesla Grohmann Automation and serve as the initial base for Tesla Advanced Automation Germany headquarters, with other locations to follow.
The pending
BDC Capital, the investment arm of the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), is injecting USD50 million into women-led technology firms as part of its efforts to support female entrepreneurs.
"Women-led firms are vital to Canada's prosperity and competitiveness," says Alison Nankivell, vice president, funds and co-investment, BDC Capital. "Recognising the need for financial and non-financial support for female founders, we are proud to launch several new initiatives to encourage women tech founders who are starting new companies, growing existing ones, creating jobs and triggering innovation."
Of the funds, USD40 million will be used to create a new program
MMA Capital Management has entered into an agreement with an affiliate of TSSP, a special situations investment platform, to form a solar lending joint venture.
The joint venture will operate under the name Renewable Energy Lending (REL) and will provide financing for the construction and ongoing operations of solar power projects located throughout North America.
MMA Energy Capital (MEC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of MMA Capital, will provide loan origination and administrative services to REL. Kimberlite Advisors served as financial adviser in the formation of Renewable Energy Lending.

Abacus Group, a provider of hosted cloud IT solutions for alternative investment funds, has welcomed the launch of the UK’s new National CyberSecurity Strategy, which includes stepped up efforts to combat data breaches, identify theft, fraud and money laundering in the financial services sector.
Abacus says its services already meet or exceed these standards.

Gide is advising Inner Mongolia Furui Medical Science, a Chinese company dedicated to pharmaceutical, diagnosis and medical services, on its investment in Median Technologies.
Median specialises in medical imaging software and services dedicated to oncology clinical trials, cancer screening and clinical practice.
The transaction, which is subject to customary conditions, will consist in a capital increase of Median Technologies at a price of EUR13 per share, representing a total amount of EUR19,599,996 reserved to Furui Medical Science Company Luxembourg, a wholly owned subsidiary of Furui.

In the third quarter of 2016, Israeli private equity deal-making rose to USD1.7 billion in 18 deals, the highest quarterly amount in the past two years.
The amount was 32 per cent above the USD1.3 billion reached in the previous quarter and over four times the USD358 million achieved in the third quarter of 2015.
The number of deals was the same as in the last quarter, but slightly down from the 22 deals quarterly average of the past five years.
