Pan-European mid-market investor Aurelius has hired Freya Macken as an associate in its UK team.
Macken will be based in Aurelius’ London office, working as part of the investment team to source and execute investments in companies that would benefit from the financial and operational support that Aurelius provides.
Macken’s appointment is Aurelius’ fifth UK hire of 2016, following that of Daniel Simon to the London-based investment team earlier this year, as well as the appointments of Simon Brott and Gavin Duke to Aurelius’ UK operational taskforce and Dipika Sodha to the UK finance team.

The Edmond de Rothschild Equity Strategies (ERES) franchise has held the final closing of ERES III at its hard cap of EUR300 million.
This is the highest amount ever raised by the ERES franchise.
Its 2011 vintage, ERES II, raised EUR217 million.
Limited partners include high net worth individuals as well as financial institutions both in France and internationally, especially Asia.
ERES will continue its strategy of investing as a minority shareholder in support of majority partners in private mid-cap companies, with an enterprise value between EUR100 million and EUR2 billion.

Nordic Capital Fund VIII-owned Lindorff and Intrum Justitia are to combine to create a leading provider of credit management services (CMS).
The combination is expected to provide material benefits for all stakeholders and create significant shareholder value through annual cost synergies estimated at SEK0.8 billion (EUR80 million) and significant further revenue synergies.
Based on Intrum Justitia’s closing share price at Nasdaq Stockholm as of 11 November 2016, the transaction values Lindorff at an enterprise value of SEK40.5 billion (EUR 4.1 billion).

Certain Fortress Investment Group managed funds and accounts have acquired a limited partner interest in Red Rocks Energy Partners to own and develop oil and gas assets in over 7,200 acres in the SCOOP play in Grady, McClain and Garvin Counties, Oklahoma.
Over the last five years, funds within Fortress’ credit business have invested over USD1.5 billion in both debt and equity across the power, renewables, midstream and upstream energy sectors, focused on opportunistic asset level investments.

Antares Capital is serving as administrative agent, joint lead arranger and joint bookrunner of senior secured credit facilities to support the acquisition of Advanced Instruments by Windjammer Capital Investors.
Founded in 1955 and headquartered in Norwood, MA, Advanced Instruments specialises in laboratory instrumentation.

LeapFrog Investments, a private equity investor in emerging markets, has made a partial exit from IFMR Capital, a provider of capital market access to financial institutions that serve low-income consumers.
The exit is part of a wider deal in which Eight Roads Ventures, the proprietary investment arm of Fidelity International, will be investing up to USD25 million in the company.
