Prime Focus Technologies (PFT), the technology subsidiary of Prime Focus, has secured the first round of funding from Ambit Pragma, a growth capital private equity fund. LogRhythm, a specialist in security intelligence, has closed a USD50 million round of new financing led by existing investor Riverwood Capital with participation by Adams Street Partners, Siemens Venture Capital, Delta-v Capital and members of the LogRhythm management team.  The new capital will help LogRhythm accelerate its leadership and competitive differentiation in the growing market for rapid threat detection and response solutions; a market which is expected to reach USD23 billion by 2020 based on research by Gartner.   The company will use the funding to continue expanding its worldwide market presence, extend its investment in innovation and strengthen its balance sheet. 
Private equity and venture capital investment in Central and Eastern Europe last year hit its highest amount since 2009, according to data from Invest Europe.
