Mooreland Partners has promoted two of its London-based senior banking professionals, Louis Jeng and Fabian Zimmer, to the position of Executive Director.
Jeng joined Mooreland in 2011, and is a member of the firm's Enterprise Software and Industrial Technologies and Electronics teams. Since joining Mooreland, he has completed M&A transactions for clients throughout Europe. Jeng is a Singaporean and speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese, and therefore also plays a key role facilitating cross-border transactions involving Chinese and Asian counterparties.

Private equity groups and energy companies looking to expand their investment horizons into the African continent will have a unique chance to meet a wide selection of government and regulatory officials at next week’s Powering Africa Summit.

Law firm White & Case has advised Mid Europa Partners (MEP) on reaching an agreement with CEE Equity Partners resulting in an investment by the China CEE Investment Co-operation Fund in Energy 21.
MEP is a leading private equity investor focused on the growth markets of Central and Eastern Europe and Turkey, with approximately EUR4.3 billion of funds raised and managed since inception. Energy 21 is the largest Czech-based independent operator of photovoltaic power plants in Central and Eastern Europe, with an installed generation capacity of 61 megawatts peak.

BGF (Business Growth Fund) has invested GBP10m growth capital while Barclays has provided GBP5.25m in new debt facilities.

Prevalent, a specialist in vendor risk management and cyber threat intelligence analytics, has raised USD8 million in Series B financing from Fulcrum Equity Partners and Spring Mountain Capital.
The round augments a 2014 Series A round by Fulcrum Equity Partners. The funds will be primarily invested in growing Prevalent's sales and marketing organisation, which is focused on selling its proprietary software products and related services, along with continued software development.

Ariadne Capital (Ariadne) has launched the Ecosystem Economics Fund I, a GBP150 million investment fund based out of London.
