The 2016 Private Equity & Venture Capital Compensation Report shows that slower industry activity is reflecting in private equity and venture capital pay. Although 65 per cent of professionals reported an increase in expected salaries and bonuses, the growth in cash compensation has slowed. This year's average compensation for private equity and venture capital professionals was USD272,000 USD, a slight decrease from last year.   This marks the second consecutive year of diminished correlation between bonus pay and firm performance. Pamplona Capital Management (Pamplona) has named J Joel Hackney, Jr (pictured) as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the new company to be formed by the combination of MedAssets’ Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) with Precyse, a Pamplona-owned health information management (HIM) services, technology, and education company. Neuberger Berman’s third global private equity co-investment fund has closed at its hard cap of USD1.5 billion. The target of NB Strategic Co-Investment Partners III (NBCIP III) was USD1.25 billion. NBCIP III seeks to achieve strong risk-adjusted returns by investing directly into attractive deals alongside high-quality private equity firms in their core areas of expertise. It seeks to build a diversified portfolio of strategic co-investments primarily in buyouts and growth financings on a global basis across multiple industries.   NBCIP III is managed by six senior professionals with significant experience and a proven track record in private equity as co-investors.
