Aviva has launched Aviva Ventures, a wholly owned venture capital business which will invest in a range of digital and new technology businesses.  Aviva Ventures will provide early stage investment to back entrepreneurs with high growth businesses and, over time, expects to have a portfolio of small investments in a number of companies which have significant potential. Renaissance Capital, an emerging and frontier markets investment bank, has completed two debt capital markets transactions last week. A USD50 million Eurobond issue for ABH Ukraine, the sole shareholder of Alfa Bank Ukraine. The new bond issue was a Reg S market only transaction with a one-year maturity and a coupon rate of 10%. Alfa-Bank Ukraine is a leading Ukrainian commercial bank with international capital. The bank ranks among the ten largest banks in Ukraine, according to the National Bank of Ukraine. MEAG, Munich Re’s asset manager, is to acquire 38.4 MW of wind power developed by Eolus in a deal worth SEK425 millon. The agreement covers the delivery of eight Vestas V112 3.3 MW wind turbines for a total of 26.4 MW in wind farm Iglasjön in Kungsbacka municipality and the operational 12 MW wind farm Jung-Åsa comprising of six Vestas V90 2.0MW wind turbines in Vara municipality. Karolinska Development AB has appointed experienced life science investor Viktor Drvota MD PhD as the firm’s new Chief Investment Officer.  Terje Kalland MD PhD, the Company's Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer, will retire from both positions effective 31 December, 2015. Gousto, the recipe box delivery company, has raised an additional GBP9 million bringing the total raised to date by the firm to GBP20 million. Founded in 2012, Gousto delivers ingredients boxes for specific, suggested recipes. This latest investment includes GBP3m from BGF Ventures – the first investment for the GBP200 million fund since it opened its doors to early stage technology companies in the autumn of this year – alongside existing investors MMC Ventures, Unilever Ventures and the Angel Co-Fund.
