The climate for IPOs in Germany has considerably improved, according to the IPO sentiment indicator jointly developed by Deutsche Börse and TU Munich.
The indicator climbed from 30.1 points to 34.2 points, reflecting buoyant sentiment among investors, companies and underwriters in the primary market.
The indicator is based on surveys of market participants’ attitudes towards the current IPO climate as well as calculations based on quantitative input, such as volatility, share prices, price/earnings ratios and subscription gains.

Archangels, alongside Scottish Enterprise’s investment arm, Scottish Investment Bank (SIB), has completed additional rounds of funding totalling over GBP3.3m for three growing Scottish businesses.
All three businesses are now competing on a global stage and have received support from Archangels from early stage. The capital raised will enable all three Scottish entrepreneurial initiatives to fund further growth.
Around 60 of Archangels’ investor members chose to participate in these funding rounds.

Private equity firm Agilitas' waste management portfolio company, Impetus Waste Management, has acquired a further waste transfer station and processing facility in the North East of England.
The consideration for the acquisition of T Shea Limited, based in Leeds, is not being disclosed.
Impetus is one of the largest waste management companies in the North East of England. Following the investment by Agilitas in December 2013, the company has built Europe’s largest commercial and industrial waste processing facility at its site in Teesside. CORESTATE’s Luxembourg-based subsidiary CORESTATE Capital Fund Management has obtained a license to operate as an alternative investment fund manager (AIFM) from the Luxembourg Financial Sector Supervisory Commission (CSSF).
Going forward, this will permit CORESTATE to design and manage regulated investment products as well as to sell them to investors anywhere inside the European Union.
The AIFM Directive governs the licensing, ongoing operation, and transparency of companies that manage alternative investment funds within the European Union.
Pricing tops the list of challenges facing private equity firms in 2015, according to the sixth annual PErspective Private Equity Study by BDO USA.

The firm has named Jeremy Christensen, Director of Private Fund Custody and Matt Nitschke, National Director of the Alternative Solutions Group.
