Greenpark Capital has appointed Daniel Green as chief investment officer.
The appointment marks the latest stage in Greenpark’s development as a mid-market secondaries firm.
Greenpark last year won a mandate from the International Finance Corporation to collaborate on a new initiative focusing on private equity secondaries in emerging markets – the first of its kind.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) has appointed Colm Lanigan as head of principal investments in its private equities department, effective immediately.
In this new role, Lanigan will be responsible, alongside senior management, for developing strategy and overseeing the execution and management of principal investments, in which ADIA acquires equity stakes in private companies, typically alongside private equity sponsors or partners.
Based in Abu Dhabi, Lanigan will report to Hareb Al Darmaki, executive director of ADIA’s private equities department.

Mexcian restaurant group Tortilla, which is backed by private equity firm Quilvest, has secured GBP2.25m in new bank financing from Santander Corporate Banking to fund expansion.
The new credit facilities will further enhance Quilvest’s original GBP3.5m investment in Tortilla in December 2011.
The financing comes as Tortilla secures three additional sites in London, Kent and Southampton and continues to pursue its expansion strategy. Including these three new openings, Tortilla will have 11 restaurants in the UK and is understood to be in discussions for several additional locations. The new London site at 460 Strand is adjacent to Trafalgar Square.

Bogner’s role at Avalon Lake Partners will be to work directly with clients to ensure they develop a strong understanding of their compliance obligations while providing them with practical, cost-effective solutions.

Bedell Cristin has appointed Valerie Georges-Thomas to head up the firm’s British Virgin Islands office.
Georges-Thomas (pictured) was previously a partner at Appleby in the firm’s corporate and commercial practice group. Her appointment follows on from Bedell opening an office in Singapore in July, headed by BVI lawyer Stephen Adams.
Bedell’s BVI law practice, represented in Jersey, Singapore and the BVI, acts as a gateway for the flows of corporate business from China and the wider Asian region. The BVI office will also service clients in North America and the growing markets in Latin America.

HarbourVest Global Private Equity’s net asset value was USD943.3m, or USD11.41 per share, as at 31 July 2012, essentially unchanged over the six-month period from 31 January 2012 (USD11.42).
A small net increase based on realisations through 31 July 2012 was offset by ongoing operating expenses and foreign currency losses, as concern around the euro grew.

Middle market private equity firm The Sterling Group’s affiliated investment fund, Sterling Group Partners III, is to acquire all of the equity interests that comprise the Dexter Axle business from Tomkins Industries, a subsidiary of Pinafore Holdings.
The Dexter Axle business manufactures trailer axle, brake and suspension assemblies and related replacement parts and components.
The closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions and is expected to occur in the last quarter of 2012.
AXA Private Equity has agreed to acquire a majority 70 per cent stake in Bruni Glass, a European provider of glass containers for spirits, food, pharmaceutical products and related accessories.
Alongside AXA Private Equity, the founding members and the management of Bruni Glass took part in the deal with a total stake of 30 per cent.

Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and with locations across North America, Germany, France and Australia, EFT is an industrial air filtration company. EFT offers air pollution control and air filtration equipment, including industrial dust collectors, baghouses, air and liquid filtration systems, filter bags and cartridges, as well as equipment and engineered systems for evaporation and distillation.
EFT markets its products under the globally-recognised MikroPul, Menardi, Filtex and Filter-Media, LCI and Pneumafil brands.
