Clearview Capital Fund IV, and its affiliates (Fund IV) have created The Barcode Group by rebranding the holding company formed in 2021 to merge Infinity Worlds, Belmont Partners and Portu-Sunberg (including wholly-owned subsidiaries Tana Sales and Marketing, Avenue C, and Retell).
The Barcode Group brings together three industry leaders with decades of combined expertise serving established and emerging national brands and private label suppliers across retail channels including Target, Walmart, Amazon, and Costco with a shared commitment to exceptional service.

Cabot Square Capital has acquired a majority shareholding in Chartway Group, one of South-East England’s leading partnerships-based housebuilders.
The investment is being made by Cabot Square’s existing portfolio company Public Sector Plc (PSP) to create a new merged Group.
PSP is a specialist strategic asset manager that partners with public and private sector bodies to add value to land and property assets as well as deliver positive ESG outcomes for local communities.
The investment will support the strategic growth of the Chartway Group.
Acquisition debt funding was provided by Pricoa Private Capital.
BGF has expanded its Yorkshire and North East team with the appointment of Linda Nguyenova as an investor.
Nguyenova joins BGF from investor Endless LLP, where she spent more than three years as an investment manager. Prior to this, she worked at PwC across its Debt & Capital Advisory and Deals/Assurance teams. Nguyenova has built up an excellent reputation in the Yorkshire market and was recently nominated as an investment rising star at the Yorkshire Businessdesk Rainmaker Awards, having previously been named in the Real Deals Future 40 Diversity and Inclusion Leaders list.

Virtual event and communities platform SCOOCS has raised €1 million in investment from business angel Sebastian Loh.
The funding will be used to develop the platform further, simplifying the process of customising and building events/communities, and expanding the team.

UK M&A professionals are optimistic about deal activity and expect it to increase over the next 12 months despite foreseeing a reduction in multiples, even as inflation increases are priced into models, according to a new survey from Datasite.
When it comes to deal types, most UK M&A professionals surveyed expect to see the biggest increase in debt financing (50%) and transformational acquisitions or mergers (43%). Additionally, most UK dealmakers (75%) are pricing at least a 5-7% increase in inflation, if not higher, into their financial valuation models for the rest of the year.

Afrikamart, a West African agritech start-up has closed a $850,000 seed round of financing from venture capital groups including the BLOC Smart Africa fund managed by Bamboo Capital Partners, Orange Digital Ventures, Launch Africa and Teranga Capital.
The proceeds from the financing will allow the company to ramp-up its purchases from smallholder farmers across the country and efficiently manage the logistics and last mile delivery of 14 fresh types of vegetables directly to street vendors and small retailers, restaurants and hotels in Dakar and Mbour.
