Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP has appointed private equity lawyer Kris Agarwal as partner. Based in the Houston office, Agarwal brings industry knowledge and client experience and bolsters Willkie’s significant private equity capabilities in the Texas market and beyond.  He is the fifth private equity partner to join Willkie this year, with others joining in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Mitiska REIM, an investor in European convenience real estate, has secured €110 million in green loan financing agreements with KBC Bank. This is in several transactions, including €58 million to refinance Malinas retail park and a further €42 million to fund acquisition opportunities in the Netherlands.  These green loans distinguish themselves from conventional loans by including climate risk elements in the financing frameworks, with the availability of financing now clearly linked to factors such as minimum BREEAM scores, CRREM decarbonisation pathways, restriction to build in high-flood risk areas and reporting of energy consumption data.
AIB, Ireland’s largest financial services provider, has appointed Foresight Group, an SME and sustainable infrastructure investment manager, to manage a new SME equity fund. The AIB Foresight SME Impact Fund will back businesses helping to accelerate Ireland’s transition towards a low-carbon economy.  AIB is providing a cornerstone investment of €30 million to the fund which aims to raise €75 million to stimulate job creation and ensure a greener future across the island of Ireland.  The Fund will typically provide equity investments of €2 million to €5 million but it will have the ability to make larger or smaller investments. 
White Oak Global Advisors LLC (White Oak) has provided a $21.3 million senior credit facility to Omni Recycling (Omni), a single-stream recycling and waste disposal company.
Turquoise, the UK merchant bank specialising in energy, environment and efficiency, has made an investment by Low Carbon Innovation Fund II (LCIF2) in RideTandem, forming part of a capital raising round of over £1.75 million. RideTandem is a mobility-as-a-service start-up, provides affordable and reliable transport solutions for those affected by transport poverty.
Sanlam Private Equity (SPE) has successfully negotiated the sale of three private equity investments in the past 12 months, with expected sale proceeds totaling cBRL1.9 billion. SPE’s exits from Consol, Weldamax and Metrofibre Networx come after the creation or preservation of a significant number of jobs over the investment period.
Pyramid Analytics (Pyramid), a decision intelligence platform provider has closed a Series E funding round of $120 million, bringing the company’s total venture capital raise to more than $200 million. The round was led by HIG Growth Partners, the dedicated growth capital investment affiliate of HIG Capital, a global alternative investment firm with over $48 billion of equity capital under management. Other participants include, Clal Insurance Enterprises Holdings, Kingfisher Capital, and General Oriental Investments. Early investors who participated in this new round are JVP, Maor Investments, Sequoia Capital, and Viola Growth. 
Advisor Group, the nation’s largest network of independent wealth management firms, has appointed Dimple Shah as executive vice president of Corporate Strategy and Iryna Northrip, CFA®, as Chief Compliance Officer, Investment Advisory.
Plexus Capital (Plexus), a multi-strategy investment firm based in Raleigh, has raised $204 million for its inaugural buyout equity fund.
iCIMS, a provider of cloud-based talent acquisition solutions, has announced that TA Associates (TA), a global growth private equity firm, will invest in the company, alongside existing investor Vista Equity Partners (Vista).
