Oklahoma Firefighters pension commits $20m to Schroders PE fund 

The Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System has committed $20m to Schroders Capital Private Equity Global Direct IV, according to a report by Pensions & Investments. 

The commitment to the co-investment fund of funds was confirmed by Troy Brown, managing director at Mariner Institutional, who serves as the fund’s investment consultant. It was approved during a board meeting on 17 May.

The pension fund already has a relationship with Schroders Capital, having previously committed $50m to Schroders Capital Private Equity Global Direct III in 2021.

As of 30 April, the pension fund’s allocation to other equity stood at 4.3%, slightly below its target of 5%, while its total assets amounted to $3.6bn.
