Menlo Ventures has appointed Kandace Elam as Director of GTM Talent with a focus on cultivating relationships with top sales and marketing executives across the firm’s focus areas – SaaS, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
Elam comes to Menlo with deep experience in go-to-market recruitment and has already placed top executives at several of the firm’s most prominent portfolio companies, including Poshmark (NASDAQ: POSH) and Benchling.
Prior to Menlo, she spent the past decade as an executive recruiter at Daversa Partners, building management teams for venture-backed startups, growth equity deals, and public companies. Most recently, she was Head of Talent Network for
Cubico Sustainable Investments (Cubico), one of the world’s largest privately-owned renewable energy companies, has appointed David Swindin as its new CEO.
Swindin replaces Steve Riley who will be retiring after leading the company for five years; building its technical, construction and operational capabilities to the highest standards and growing the geographic and technology footprint to 12 countries and four different technologies.
David Swindin had previously been Cubico’s regional Head of EMEA since it was formed in 2015 and has played a key role in driving the company’s growth over the last seven years.
The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) has appointed Katie Errock ACSI as President of the CISI’s Isle of Man branch.
Errock has over 12 years of experience across financial services and investment management, for a variety of internationally regulated firms on the Isle of Man.
In 2021 she joined Burnbrae Limited as Company Secretary, with responsibility for corporate governance spanning a variety of listed and unlisted entities.
Prior to joining Burnbrae, Errock was employed as Product Development Manager for Fiera Capital, overseeing the firm’s European product offering and fund range proposition.

Adams Street Partners, a private markets investment management firm with over USD51 billion of assets under management, has appointed Joost Mioch as regional head of Benelux, operating out of the firm’s Munich office.
Mioch joins from BlackRock and brings with him considerable private markets expertise.
The new appointment reflects Adams Street’s commitment to serve the demands of a greater share of capital within the region, where it has been active for over two decades. Antwort Capital has appointed Vinayak Bhattacharjee as a board member and managing partner. He will jointly run the business together with founder, Manuel San Salvador.
KKR has appointed Chano Fernandez, co-CEO at Workday, as a Senior Advisor to the firm’s global technology team.
Fernandez will advise the KKR team on its investment activities in the technology sector globally, with a focus on the enterprise application software segment in Europe and North America. In his role, Fernandez will help to identify and assess new opportunities, and provide guidance to the management teams of KKR’s portfolio companies on operations and growth strategies.
Fernandez brings over 20 years of global leadership and entrepreneurial experience in the technology sector, with a focus on cloud, SaaS and enterprise software solutions.
North Sky Capital (North Sky), a specialist in impact investing, has promoted Andrew Harris to Managing Director.
Since joining the firm in 2018, Harris has successfully led the business development efforts for the firm’s two flagship strategies: sustainable infrastructure and impact private equity (secondaries).
Prior to joining North Sky Capital, Harris served as a Senior Vice President at Threadmark, an advisory firm focused on raising capital for infrastructure and real estate firms in North America and Europe. He is a graduate of Columbia University.
Global proptech venture capital firm Pi Labs has appointed Stefania Ponzo as a partner.
Ponzo brings more than 14 years’ experience working with high-growth technology companies and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) and institutional investors as an investor and advisor. At Pi Labs, her role will be focused on overseeing the VC firm’s growing portfolio, and ensuring portfolio company founders have the strategic, financial and commercial support required in order to achieve global scale.
Based in London, Ponzo spent seven years at Coutts private bank advising UHNW clients globally on asset allocation and growth capital investment opportunities.

Early-stage venture capital LiveOak Venture Partners, a venture capital firm based in Austin, Texas, has promoted Creighton Hicks and Mike Marcantonio to Partner.
The promotions coincide with the launch of the firm’s third fund, a USD210 million vehicle focused on early-stage companies in Texas. The pair join Founding Partners Venu Shamapant and Krishna Srinivasan who launched LiveOak nearly a decade ago.
Creighton joined LiveOak in 2020 from Dell Technologies Capital (DTC) where he led investments in numerous early-stage software companies, including CloudKnox (acquired by Microsoft) and FullStory.

Generate Capital, a sustainable infrastructure investment and operating platform, has promoted Darryl Carbonaro has been promoted to General Counsel.
Generate has also hired Lisa Schule as a Managing Director on the investment team. Schule is a successful growth-equity investor with 22 years of experience investing in energy and resource efficiency companies that address climate change.
Carbonaro has served as Head of Legal for Generate since 2017, establishing and growing the company’s in-house legal operations. He joins the company’s Management Committee and will oversee growth of the legal and compliance functions as Generate expands its reach as the one-stop shop for
