Monroe Capital LLC today announced Sweta Chanda has joined the firm as Managing Director, Head of Business Strategy based in the firm’s New York office. She will be responsible for firmwide strategy, product and corporate development, and new initiatives to expand Monroe’s global footprint.
Prior to Monroe, Sweta was a Director at New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM) within the Strategy and M&A team responsible for heading alternative investment strategy, where she helped launch a European Opportunistic Credit Fund, European CLO platform, GP Stakes Fund, and a Social Impact Fund amongst other strategic business development and growth opportunities for NYLIM.

KKR & Co has appointed Evan Spiegel as a new Independent Director, bringing the total of independent directors on the company’s Board to eleven out of fifteen seats.
Spiegel is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Snap Inc, a publicly traded camera company that believes reinventing the camera represents the greatest opportunity to improve the way that people live and communicate.

HealthCap, a European life sciences venture capital firm, has appointed Dr Mårten Steen, MD, PhD, as Co-Managing Partner alongside Founding Partner Björn Odlander.
Mårten became a Partner at HealthCap in 2010 and has been instrumental in many of HealthCap´s most successful investments including Ultragenyx and Wilson Therapeutics. He currently serves as a director of several important new biotech ventures including Hemab and Vivet. Mårten previously worked in business development at Merck Serono, and obtained his MD, PhD, and BSc degree in Business Administration from Lund University.

Following the continued growth of the firm, Crestbridge, a provider of alternative private equity and real estate administration solutions, has appointed Siân Dalrymple as Group Chief Risk Officer.
Dalrymple will be responsible for the oversight and enhancement of Crestbridge’s risk function and the development of its risk management services platform for its global client base.
Dalrymple brings to the role vast experience and a proven track record in leading the compliance and risk functions for large, multi-national and stock-exchange listed organisations globally.

Joining the team in Jersey, with a long roster of technical expertise in private equity, venture capital and renewables, is Associate Director of Funds Services, Edward McFadyen.
