Golding Capital Partners (GCP), an independent asset manager for alternative investments, has appointed Marco Sedlmayr as a Managing Director with responsibility for institutional client services and sales activities in German-speaking countries.

The Standards Board for Alternative Investments (SBAI) has appointed Stuart Fiertz, Co-Founder and President of Cheyne Capital Management, and Richard Lightburn, Chief Executive Officer of MKP Capital Management, to its Board.
The SBAI is the global standard-setting body for the alternative investment industry and custodian of the Alternative Investment Standards. The SBAI and the Standards are supported by approximately 200 alternative investment managers and institutional investors who collectively manage USD3.5 trillion.

Duff & Phelps has appointed Ted Keen as Managing Director in the firm’s Transfer Pricing practice based in London. Keen will serve as the European leader for the practice, focusing on client service and further expansion of the transfer pricing group in Europe.
Keen brings over twenty years of experience advising clients on transfer pricing matters in both the US and UK. He has served clients across a wide range of industries, most recently focusing on the life science, high tech, natural resources and business services, and on applying economic analysis to complex transfer pricing valuation matters.

Campbell Lutyens has opened a new office in Singapore, following regulatory approval.
The office will support the continued expansion of the firm’s fund placement and secondary advisory business in Asia-Pacific, and will be the firm’s second in the region, after the opening of a Hong Kong office in 2010.

Geoff Pullen has joined State Street as managing director, alternatives sector, EMEA.
Based in London, he will report into Maria Cantillon, head of sector solutions for EMEA, and his responsibilities will include driving the execution of the team’s regional sales strategy across hedge and private equity fund clients.
With 16 years’ experience, he joins State Street from Standard Chartered where he led the transaction banking & securities services sales to European alternative and traditional asset managers. Prior to this he held senior sales roles at both HSBC Securities Services and BNP Paribas.

UK private equity firm Maven Capital Partners (Maven) has strengthened its Midlands team with the appointment of senior investment specialists Chris Rogers, Richard Altoft and Graham Hall.
Based in Birmingham, Rogers has responsibility for new MEIF investments and will work closely with investee companies throughout Worcestershire. Rogers joins Maven after a 22-year career in commercial banking with RBS, as a Senior Relationship Manager, providing structural guidance and financial analysis to SMEs.
