NorthEdge Capital (NorthEdge) has appointed two new Portfolio Directors following an active start to 2018 in which the firm has completed five transactions at a combined value of GBP160 million.
Keven Parker and Andy Tupholme both join NorthEdge as Portfolio Directors.
Parker joins NorthEdge with over 12 years’ experience in leveraged buyout transactions gained at 3i Group plc as Head of the firm’s Manchester office and one of six Partners across its UK buyout team. He joins from construction firm Shepherd Group, where he was a main board Director and Group CFO.
Tupholme joins NorthEdge with 20 years’ investment experience,
Laven Tech has appointed Alex Law as its new Technical Director for the Digital Compliance Assistant, Due Diligence Manager and Know Your Customer Assistant software products.
As Technical Director, Law will be responsible for the technical architecture for each software and providing oversight and leadership over Laven Tech’s in-house software and engineering team. Law will draw on his extensive skills as a software engineer with over 20 years of experience providing customer facings solutions from concept through release in both the United States and Europe.

Great Rock Capital, an asset-focused commercial finance company specialising in middle market lending, has appointed Gerard Hanabergh and Jennifer Cronin as Chief Risk Officer and Managing Director – Marketing and Business Development, respectively.

Seasoned M&A practitioner Jinsong (Jeff) Zhang has joined Orrick as a partner in the firm’s M&A and private equity practice.
Zhang joins from King & Wood Mallesons, where he was a partner resident in New York. He previously served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of CITIC Securities USA, a broker-dealer firm registered with the SEC/FINRA, and the US arm of China’s largest full-service investment bank. Jeff will split his time between our Beijing and New York offices.

SANNE has appointed Tracy Burns as Director of Global Operations. Based at SANNE’s headquarters in Jersey, Burns will be responsible for leading the development and rollout of SANNE’s operations, helping to support the business with its fast growth and creation of global operational centres of excellence.
This appointment also sees Tracy becoming a member of the Groups Services leadership team led by Eric Watson, SANNE’s Chief Operating Officer.

Century Bridge Capital has appointed Tully Wyatt as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with responsibility for all financial aspects of the firm, including both the Dallas and Beijing operations, and overseeing the treasury, compliance and financial management of the firm’s funds and investment vehicles.
Wyatt replaced Jim McCoy who announced his retirement earlier this year.

Ian Macleod, has joined the board of business angel investment syndicate Archangels, succeeding Geoff Ball, who has retired after seven years.
Archangels’ members invest in, and mentor, promising start-up and early stage companies from Scotland’s vibrant technology and life sciences sectors.
Ian Macleod had a long career as a financial analyst, specialising in electronics and telecoms, initially with Capel Cure Myers and subsequently with decade long spells at NatWest Markets and Jefferies. During most of this period he was based in Paris and was recognised for several years as one of the leading European telecoms analysts.

In this new role, Privor will help ensure that both Gemini and its fund clients’ operations are optimally equipped to comply with rules set by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), National Futures Association (NFA), and other industry regulators.
Privor’s 20 years of professional experience is deeply rooted in asset management and securities regulation, including seven years as Senior Counsel in the SEC’s Asset Management Unit in the Division of Enforcement, and the past year serving on the US Senate Judiciary
Independent fund and corporate services provider, the Aztec Group, has appointed Ivana Paprckova as an Associate Director in Jersey.
Following a string of significant client wins, Ivana will join the Group’s private equity team where she will play a lead role in the delivery of fund administration services to its private equity clients.
Day-to-day, Ivana will oversee accounting, investor reporting, the audit process and the preparation and distribution of financial statements, in addition to advising on associated technical matters.
