Dedicated African merchant banking house, Africa Merchant Capital, has appointed Milko Skoro as Managing Director for AMC Advisory and AMC Infrastructure.
Skoro brings with him 20 years of African transaction experience and knowledge of the Sub-Saharan Africa private capital markets. In the Africa Merchant Capital Group, Skoro will head up AMC Advisory, offering a range of Corporate Finance services centred around growth and acquisition capital, and AMC Infrastructure which focuses on developing and owning long-term assets.

Cavendish Corporate Finance, a specialist sell-side M&A firm, has appointed Derek Zissman, a senior corporate finance professional, as a partner and Head of the Cavendish Exit Review practice.
Zissman brings over 40 years’ experience of M&A advisory to Cavendish and his appointment further strengthens the firm’s sell-side advisory service. It will enable Cavendish to better advise its clients across all aspects of their business’ exit process and take advantage of emerging opportunities in today’s very active M&A markets.

Secure Trust Bank Commercial Finance has appointed Matt Alis as Regional Sales Director as the firm looks to build on its performance in the South East and London.
The asset-based lender announced last month that it had lent GBP34 million to SMEs in the South of England in 2017, with total lending balances more than doubling nationwide.

An experienced practitioner who was previously an assistant general counsel at BNP Paribas in New York, Carolan regularly works with clients on a wide variety of financing transactions. On the lending side, he represents financial institutions, funds and alternative lenders as arrangers, agents and lenders. Golding Capital Partners, an independent asset manager for alternative investments, has strengthened its investment team with the appointment of Abhik Das as the company’s new Head of Private Debt.
As Managing Director, he is responsible for GCP’s overall private debt investment activities. His role comprises the selection of primaries, secondaries and co-investment opportunities for GCP’s institutional investment programmes and managed accounts. SANNE has promoted Sean Murray to Managing Director, Alternative Assets for its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Based in SANNE’s Luxembourg office, Murray (pictured), has been with SANNE for just over a year. In his new position he will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the EMEA Alternative Assets platform, which includes Private Equity, Private Debt & Capital Markets, Real Estate and Hedge.

Nick Winder will take on the role of Sales Director. He has worked in the investment industry for 30 years, initially for 10 years with GT Asset Management as Sales Director-Discretionary Sales.
