Global law firm Goodwin has appointed Bosco Yiu as a partner in the firm’s private equity practice in Hong Kong.
Yiu’s appointment follows the recent relocation to Hong Kong of private investment funds partner Greg Barclay, and last year’s arrival of leading private equity lawyers Douglas Freeman and Victor Chen.

Behrman Capital, a private equity investment firm based in New York and San Francisco, has appointed Vincent M Buffa as an Operating Partner.
Buffa was most recently President and Chief Executive Officer of Data Device Corporation (DDC) – a former Behrman portfolio company – until its USD1 billion sale in 2016.
As an Operating Partner, Buffa will serve on the Boards of current Behrman Capital portfolio companies Corfin Industries and ILC Dover, and share his extensive expertise with their management teams. Foresight Group (Foresight) has appointed Ray Harris to its Private Equity Investment team, following Ben Dawson’s appointment earlier this year.
Harris joins Foresight as a Principal on the recently awarded GBP35 million equity fund (for the East and South-East Midlands) from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) delivered by the British Business Bank. He will be based in Foresight’s Nottingham office and the recently opened Leicester office. Harris’s appointment adds strength to the senior investment team in the region after Ben Dawson joined the team as Senior Investment Manager in January this year.

Nahal joins Signal from Bank of America (BofA) Merrill Lynch where he headed the thematic investing strategy team within its global research department, based in London and New York. He was also a member of BofA Merrill Lynch’s Global Wealth & Investment Management impact investing core council.

Natixis has appointed Michael Moravec as Head of Investment Banking, Americas. He will report locally to Kevin Alexander, Managing Director and globally to Mohamed Kallala, Global Head of Investment Banking.
Moravec will oversee all aspects of the Investment Banking division for Natixis’ CIB Americas platform.

Global investment advisory and alternatives platform Mercury Capital Advisors has appointed Nick Savasta as Chief Investment Officer and Partner, overseeing Investment Advisory.
He will report to Michael Ricciardi, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner, and will lead the firm in advising clients across a range of alternative asset classes including direct private equity investments and allocations to fund managers.
