HIG Capital has appointed Daniel Nader as principal in the HIG Latin America team, as part of a strategy to expand its investment activity into real estate assets in the region.
HIG has been investing in Latin America since 2012 when it established operations in Brazil. The firm subsequently raised a dedicated Latin America Fund in 2016.

Institutional alternative asset manager Crestline Investors has appointed Chris Golio as a managing director in the firm’s business development and client partnership group based in New York.
He will be focus on the Northeast and Midwest US regions and report to Frank Jordan, head of business development and client partnerships.
Prior to joining Crestline, Golio (pictured) was a partner for Constellation Associates providing private credit third party institutional marketing services primarily to direct lending and opportunistic managers. While there he specialised in direct lending, opportunistic and other illiquid strategies.

Scottish-based business angel syndicate Archangels has appointed Shaolei McKie as its investment executive.
McKie will support Archangels’ executive team in undertaking due diligence, business performance analysis, legal and investor liaison both for Archangels’ existing portfolio of investee companies and for new investment opportunities.
A Chartered Accountant, Shaolei joins Archangels from Edinburgh-based Corran Properties where she has been financial controller since 2012. Her previous career has spanned the financial investment and banking sectors.

Law firm Goodwin has appointed Samantha Lake Coghlan and Paul Lyons as co-chairs of the firm’s London office with immediate effect.

Independent private equity fund administrator Gen II Fund Services has appointed Shawn McMenimen as a senior managing director.
McMenimen will be responsible for managing various client relationships and oversight of Gen II's compliance department.
In this role, he will work closely with Steven Alecia, Gen II's chief client officer, and Yuliana Gekhel, senior managing director, to optimise technology and control processes to support business growth.

Northern Trust has appointed Katharine Morris as head of sales of its global fund services business in the UK.
Based in London, Morris is responsible for offering investment operations outsourcing, fund administration and the full range of asset servicing solutions, to investment managers domiciled in the UK.

GLAS, an independent provider of finance administration services, has opened an office in Sydney, coinciding with the key senior hire of lawyer Kate White.
The Sydney office expands the GLAS business in Australia following the opening of its Melbourne office in 2016.

Financial risk consultancy JCRA has appointed Benoit Duhil de Benaze as director.
Working from the firm’s London offices, Duhil de Benaze will help to drive and further establish JCRA’s offering in the financial sponsor and corporate markets across the UK and Europe.

Miah also becomes chief operating officer (COO).
