Perella Weinberg Partners has appointed Mauro Rossi has a managing director in the firm’s advisory business.
Based in New York, Rossi will be a member of the firm’s financial institutions group (FIG), providing strategic and financial advice to clients in the insurance sector.
Rossi has over 15 years of financial services industry experience. He joins from Morgan Stanley where he was an executive director focused on mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory, corporate restructuring and capital raising transactions for clients in all sectors of the insurance industry. Catapult Ventures has appointed Dr Tony Flinn as a venture partner with its new GM&C Life Sciences Fund.
Flinn, who becomes the fund’s second venture partner, is an authority in contract research organisation (CRO) companies, having founded Onyx Scientific in 2000 to offer contract chemistry services for many of the world’s leading drug developers.

Private equity firm Constitution Capital Partners has expanded its team with the appointment of Raymond Shih as an associate and Athilia Chau Banh as a staff accountant.
Shih joined the firm on 1 August and Banh on 15 August.
Shih joins Constitution Capital’s investment team as an associate from Landmark Partners, where he served as an analyst. In this role, he evaluated investment opportunities by conducting company due diligence, industry research, interviewing fund sponsors and preparing financial models using extensive valuation analysis.

NorthEdge Capital has appointed Prem Mohan Raj as its new chief financial officer (CFO).
Raj joins NorthEdge with over 12 years of private equity experience.
He joins from Livingbridge, where he worked in senior financial management positions, latterly as CFO, across a range of its funds, including its limited partnerships, venture capital trusts and AIM quoted investments.
Prior to that, he was CFO at real estate private equity firm Brockton Capital, having started his private equity career at Coller Capital.

Private equity fund administration provider Ipes has appointed Alyson Yule as depositary director.
She joins the firm from Wells Fargo Global Fund Services where she led its depositary function.
Yule, a Chartered Accountant, has over 25 years of experience in the onshore and offshore finance industry and has detailed knowledge of private equity structures.
Ipes' depositary provides services to more than 228 alternative investment funds across private equity, debt, infrastructure, real estate, venture and fund of funds. Yule will manage the team of 17 depositary analysts in London and help with the continued growth of the depositary business.
RueOne Investments, an alternative asset manager that offers institutional asset owners and family offices direct investment opportunities, has appointed Michael Caro as director of partnerships.
Caro, who is also a partner in the firm, is responsible for overall business development – cultivating relationships with RueOne's asset manager partners and global investor base.
Caro brings extensive buy and sell side experience and relationships and a 15-year track record in institutional sales and client relations, with particular expertise working with esoteric investments and less liquid assets.
