DW Healthcare Partners, a healthcare-focused private equity firm, has appointed Gabriel Becher, former portfolio manager with Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), as a principal in the firm’s investment team.
Becher brings 12 years of merger and acquisition experience. Previously at AIMCo, he was responsible for sourcing, executing and managing direct private equity investments with a focus on the business services and financial services sectors.
Becher has also co-founded WagJag, an online "local offer" business that offers flash sales on a wide variety of products and services.

Private equity firm Gemspring Capital has appointed Thomas Zanios as a managing director.
Prior to joining Gemspring, Zanios was a principal at Odyssey Investment Partners. During his nine years at Odyssey, he was involved in all aspects of the investment process including origination, due diligence, transaction structuring, financing, and working closely with management to execute key value creation initiatives for each investment.
Zanios served on the boards of Safway Group Holdings and One Call Care Management during his tenure at Odyssey.
He began his career in the healthcare investment banking group of Banc of America Securities before joining
Light Street Capital Management has appointed Bill Nolan as head of business development, responsible for developing and expanding Light Street's business presence and relationships with investors.
Nolan brings to the role nearly 30 years of industry experience. Previously, he was head of marketing and investor relations at Passport Capital from 2008 to 2015, and held a similar role at Crosslink Capital from 1999 to 2007.

Marc Lenaers has been promoted to managing associate in Ogier’s Luxembourg office.
Lenaers advises global clients and investment managers on a wide range of regulated and unregulated investment vehicles, including mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity, real estate and debt funds. He is in charge of setting up and restructuring Luxembourg investment funds tailored to the clients’ needs.
Prior to joining Ogier, Lenaers was head of legal fund engineering in a major bank and senior associate in a Luxembourg law firm, where he was in charge of the investment funds practice of the New York representative office.

Rothschild & Co Group has appointed M&A specialist James M (Jimmy) Neissa as Head of Rothschild & Co North America.
Neissa will lead the continued development of the North American business primarily focusing on Rothschild Global Advisory. The group also announced that Lee LeBrun, a widely respected M&A banker, will join Rothschild Global Advisory as Head of M&A in North America. Both Jimmy Neissa and Lee LeBrun will assume their positions in September.

Corporate credit specialist Muzinich & Co has added to its UK private debt team with the recruitment of Grant Davidson (pictured) as Director.
Davidson joins the firm from Investec where he was Senior Origination Director for growth and acquisition finance, responsible for the sourcing and execution of deals for UK mid-market businesses with EBITDAs of up to GBP15 million.
Davidson has also spent time in the industry as a divisional CFO for a private equity backed company and worked for eight years at Lyceum Capital leading equity investments in the UK lower mid-market.
