European mid-market buyout investor Equistone Partners Europe Limited has added Richard Briault-Hutter and Roman . Hegglin to its investment team.
Briault-Hutter, who begins his role as Investment Manager with immediate effect, joins Equistone’s London office from corporate advisory firm Duff & Phelps where he held the position of Director. Before this, he worked as an Associate Director at DC Advisory (formerly Close Brothers Corporate Finance), where he focused on the consumer and travel sectors within the firm’s M&A team. Briault-Hutter holds a BA in Economics from the University of Manchester.
Briault-Hutter’s appointment follows the recent appointment of Hegglin to
PwC Legal has appointed dual qualified banking partner Laetitia Costa as Head of the Banking and Finance Team in London.
Costa previously worked for Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP in London, where she was a partner in that firm’s Leveraged Finance Group. She will be responsible for driving further development of the PwC Legal banking and finance offering and overseeing its continued growth. Costa has over 15 years' experiences in leveraged finance, real estate and debt restructuring transactions advising arrangers, funds, private equity firms and corporations.

Faulds is an experienced Non Executive Director and Chairman. He spent his executive career in advertising, founding Faulds Advertising, and growing it to become Scotland's largest advertising agency in 2002, when he exited from the business. Since then, Faulds has served as Chairman and Non Executive Director on the boards of a number of listed and private equity backed companies including Wood Mackenzie and Giles Insurance Brokers. He currently chairs Change Recruitment and Jumpstart.

Tullett Prebon Alternative Investments (TPAI), the alternative investments arm of interdealer broker Tullett Prebon, has appointed Alastair Sword as its global head.
The TPAI team of ten focuses on the placement of illiquid alternative assets. Since its formation in 2009 it has developed significant experience in LP to LP fund transfers, managed auction processes, as well as direct asset divestments across the hedge fund, private equity and real estate space.
Prior to taking up his position with TPAI, Sword was Head of Asian Sales at Roubini Global Economics having previously been a Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch

Investment advisory and placement firm for hedge and private equity funds Aqueduct Capital Group, has appointed Dr Pawan Chaturvedi as head of investments.
Chaturvedi joins Aqueduct from the UCLA Investment Company, where he was a senior investment director focused on all aspects of portfolio management and the private markets portfolio. Prior to UCLA, he was a partner at private markets advisor Altius Associates and a member of their executive management committee. His new role at Aqueduct will be working in collaboration with partners Tom Roupe, Frank Edwards and Steve Lessing.

BlackRock has named Mark Wiseman as incoming Senior Managing Director and a member of the firm’s Global Executive Committee (GEC).
Wiseman will become Head of BlackRock’s Global Active Equity business and will become Chairman of the BlackRock Global Investment Committee, the investment sub-committee of the GEC. He will also help support BlackRock Alternative Investors. Wiseman will report to Robert S Kapito, President of BlackRock, and will join the firm in early September.
