Offshore law firm Carey Olsen has announced six new partners bringing the total number of partners across its seven offices to 49.
The new partners are Annette Alexander from the Guernsey corporate practice, Kate Andrews and James Willmott from the Jersey corporate practice, Keith Dixon and Alexa Saunders from the Jersey trusts and private wealth practice and Jeremy Garrood from the Jersey litigation practice.

Private equity firm Constitution Capital Partners has expanded its investment team with the addition of Dominic Morell as an Analyst, effective 13 June.
Morell returns to Constitution Capital after serving as the firm’s Summer Analyst in 2015. In his previous role with Constitution Capital, Morell supported the firm’s back office efforts by conducting market research for investor meetings, performing quarterly valuations, drafting investor communications, completing RFP submissions for potential investors, and assisting with internal investment database management. Morell is a recent graduate of the State University of New York (SUNY) at Geneseo, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry,
International resource and emerging markets focused advisory firm Hannam & Partners has promoted two new partners – Ingo Hofmaier to Head of Mining and Andrew Chubb to Head of Corporate Finance.
Both Hofmaier and Chubb were previously directors at Hannam & Partners. Their new titles, Head of Mining and Head of Corporate Finance respectively, represent their new positions as partners in the firm. The pair are joining forces with current partners: Ian Hannam, Neil Passmore, Timothy Hoare, Giles Fitzpatrick, and Rupert Fane.

The Seattle office of global law firm K&L Gates has appointed Christopher J (CJ) Voss as a partner in the corporate/M&A practice. Voss joins K&L Gates from Stoel Rives LLP, where he practiced for more than 20 years.
Previously an attorney/advisor with the Office of the Chief Counsel for International Commerce at the US Department of Commerce in Washington, DC, and an associate at Linklaters in Brussels, Belgium, Voss counsels senior management and boards of directors of public and private companies on mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other strategic transactions. British Business Bank Investments, the commercial arm of the British Business Bank, has appointed Catherine Lewis La Torre as Chief Executive Officer, effective from 1 September 2016.
Lewis La Torre joins British Business Bank Investments from Cardano, where she is Head of Private Equity and responsible for managing a portfolio of private capital fund investments with over GBP1 billion of client commitments. This appointment follows the announcement that Peter Wilson was stepping down as CEO in March 2016.

Private equity firm Warburg Pincus has appointed Stefan Krause as a Senior Advisor. He will support the firm in the identification and evaluation of new investments in Europe.
Krause has over twenty years of experience as a senior executive leading international businesses headquartered in Germany. Most recently he served as Chief Financial Officer and Member of Management Board of Deutsche Bank, Germany’s largest bank. Prior to his time at Deutsche Bank, Mr. Krause served in several management positions at Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft (also known as BMW Group) in Germany and the United States, including as Chief Financial Officer.

Leading mid-market private equity house LDC has strengthened its support for management teams with the appointment of Chris Coulton as Portfolio Director.
Coulton joins LDC after 15 years at Deloitte where he specialised in advising mid-market private equity-backed businesses. In his new role, Coulton will work alongside LDC’s portfolio to deliver strategic and operational support that will help drive value and market-leading performance.
Coulton’s experience to date spans a range of sectors including manufacturing, energy, retail & consumer and support services. He has also previously advised LDC on several of its portfolio businesses during his time at Deloitte.
PwC Legal has appointed Stephen Richards as a Senior Manager in the firm’s Corporate Group in London. Richards joins from Laytons where he was a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Team of that firm.
Richards has nearly ten years’ experience working in corporate law. He has a broad practice, encompassing corporate reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions, equity investments and joint ventures. Stephen will add to the team’s extensive sector expertise in both wealth and asset management (where he will work alongside recent hire Oliver Williams) and technology – where he joins Thomas Colmer who has recently joined the Corporate Group
