Lea Lazaric Calvert has agreed to join Evercore’s Private Capital Advisory business (PCA) as a Managing Director. Lazaric Calvert will be based in London where she will focus on advising leading financial institutional investors and fund sponsors on secondary transactions.
Lazaric Calvert, who will join Evercore in July, was most recently an Executive Director at UBS where she was a member of the Private Funds Group, responsible for the coverage of a number of institutional investors in countries including the UK, Germany and Switzerland. Gazin currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Board at Studio Moderna, a multi-channel and direct-to-consumer retailer in Central and Eastern Europe. Barclays has appointed Steve Rickards as head of offshore funds. He will lead the creation and implementation of the bank’s offshore funds strategy and report directly to Paul Savery, managing director of personal and corporate banking in the Channel Islands.
“Steve has 30 years’ experience with Barclays in corporate banking and international finance centres,” says Savery.
For the last four years Rickards has been heading up the Guernsey Funds team providing debt solutions for private equity and working with locally based fund administrators.

MacKenzie is a Partner of Downing LLP and is responsible for the Public Equity Division which predominantly focuses on Micro-Cap investments of under GBP150 million market capitalisation. In this role she is known for her selective approach, researching companies thoroughly before investing and holding them for long periods.

Wilson has practiced law in Asia for 17 years and regularly advises clients on transactions throughout Southeast Asia. For example, Wilson has acted as international counsel for Indonesia’s national oil company in its proposed acquisition of a US-based oil company’s Venezuelan oil assets. Longitude Capital, a private investment firm that focuses on venture growth investments in drug development and medical technology, has promoted Sandip K Agarwala to Managing Director.
Agarwala joined Longitude in 2013 and focuses on structured investments in both biotechnology and medical device companies. He was responsible for the creation of the firm's royalty investment vehicle, CrownWheel Partners, and its associated infrastructure. Agarwala led the firm's investments in multiple royalty transactions, assembling a diversified portfolio of healthcare revenue interests. Looking forward, he will continue to lead Longitude's royalty investment strategy.

Mid-market private equity investor LDC has appointed Simon Adcock as a Portfolio Director.
Adcock, an ACA qualified accountant, has almost 20 years of Big 4 advisory experience, latterly as partner and regional head of Deloitte’s Corporate Advisory business, an area he helped to establish in 2005 to support privately owned and private equity-backed mid-market companies going through change, restructuring or refinancing.
He began his career at KPMG in Birmingham before joining Deloitte in 2004, making partner in 2010. He also spent two years in Australia, establishing the Deloitte Corporate Advisory business there.
